Monstercat is looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Manager to promote Monstercat’s brand identity through compelling digital campaigns and activations that speak to our fans and accelerate Monstercat's social media presence worldwide.
Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, you will execute social content and marketing strategies that support Monstercat's brand and music priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can effectively communicate new ideas, channels, and campaigns cross-functionally.
What You'll Do…
Content Strategy
• Manage Monstercat’s social content strategy and execution, including: planning, briefing, asset delivery, content calendar management across multiple owned platforms.
• Develop cohesion between Monstercat's properties on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, and TikTok; advise on each channel's best practices.
• Work with the Creative Design team to produce engaging video and static imagery supporting Monstercat releases and brand priorities.
• Initiate audience-building activations like contests, giveaways, and UGC campaigns supporting Monstercat and its artist roster.
Analytics / Research
• Analyze social media posts/sentiment performance, report metrics, and continuously optimize for awareness and engagement.
• Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy, and educate the Marketing team on creative opportunities.
Copywriting
• Write and edit copy for social channels, delivering strong brand voice & recognition with attention to detail.
• Contribute to the development of Monstercat’s brand stories by pitching narratives with corresponding social messaging tie-ins.
About You...
• 1-3 years of experience managing social media (business) accounts.
• Experience in and/or passion for the music (particularly Dance) and gaming industry preferred
• Familiarity with photo/video editing software is a plus
• Experience in managing content scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar)
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail are imperative.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to manage multiple social messaging projects simultaneously comfortably
• An enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude
• Creative content strategist who has the ability to ‘think outside of the box’.
