We are looking for a Seasonal Merchandiser to join our Field Sales team.

Seasonal Merchandisers report directly to a Sales Manager and work within our big box retailers, such as Home Depot and Lowe's. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities Merchandisers execute merchandising directives and re-sets, establish a positive rapport with store personnel and customers, and relay information to Scotts Sales team regarding inventory opportunities.

In this role you will:
• Merchandise products inside and outside stores
• Provide customers and store associates with product knowledge on Scotts brands
• Ensure product is stocked and presentable at all times
• Assist in identifying opportunities for solution selling and incremental space

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be working at a Scotts plant operations facility. The Operator prepares organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes or relocates piles to ensure segregation of materials. Supplies production with a continuous supply of material.

Monitors the stock piles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles, extinguishes small fires and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use.
Maintains equipment.

What you'll do in this role:
• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, snowblowers and other pieces of equipment.
• Clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by management and company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:
• Ability to work in a dusty, dirty environment.
• Ability to work in all weather elements, including heat and cold.

The Information Technology department is committed to supporting the company’s current and long term strategies. As part of the IT organization, the Technical Manager, Supply Chain Planning Applications will partner with the global Supply Chain community serving their needs in the areas of Demand Planning, Production Planning, Materials requirement planning, Implementing MPS planning strategies using applications such as SAP, Blue Yonder (JDA) or Kinaxis.

The Technical Manager, Supply Chain Planning Applications is part of the team responsible for maintaining and

enhancing business applications viz. SAP R/3 Production Planning (PP), Blue Yonder (JDA/Manugistics) Supply chain planning suite and Kinaxis Rapid Response. This position is expected to lead projects, work with users to define business requirements,design solutions, configure the system, develop Oracle scripts/programs, execute test scripts to validate the solution, create end user and technical support documentation in order to implement the solution.

Key Responsibilities:
• The Technical Manager of Supply Chain Planning Systems will be an integral resource for the IT department. This resource will use deep system knowledge to help drive solutions in Supply Chain planning as well as collaborate with other cross functional areas supporting logistics and procurement systems, finance and controlling systems and distribution to ensure solutions are robust and effective within the SMG landscape.
• This position will support small to large scale projects in Blue Yonder (JDA) and SAP production planning space or lead cross functional projects such as an SAP implementation or company integration into the SMG SAP landscape.
• This position will also work with the business, technical (network, server, and storage), and IT leadership teams along with external partners to support the implementation of continuous improvement ideas.
• Configure Blue Yonder (JDA) and Kinaxis to meet business requirements.
• Design, Develop specification documentation for integration with SAP, Blue Yonder (JDA) /Kinaxis
• Conduct Unit testing and cross-functional integration testing for solutions
• Provide timely production support for break-fix issues, provide nightly batch support on as need basis
• Support production environment by trouble-shooting system issues and providing system solutions or process improvement options
• Assist in gathering requirements, design, and developing minor and major system enhancements
• Ensure Technical documentation is up to date

Technical Knowledge Requirements:

We are looking for an on-site Plant Manager who will join our Scotts Miracle-Gro Supply Chain team in Waverly, VA.

Growing Media, a network of 45 plants across North America, produces branded consumer products such as mulch and soil for lawn and garden care. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in a fast-paced operations environment, then you will fit in well as a Scotts Operations Manager. On a day-to-day basis, you will have the responsibility for driving employee engagement, safety, product quality, productivity, order delivery, and customer service. In this role, you have the ability to positively impact the plant’s overall performance and our customers’ satisfaction.

What you’ll do in this role:
• DEFINE SUCCESS: Establish short and long-term operating objectives, ensuring goals are aligned to deliver desired production capacity, shipping, and people capabilities. Apply knowledge of processes, equipment, and system capability to set challenging individual, team, and facility standards.
• LEAD: Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to supervisor and hourly associates, driving enhanced plant operations in the areas of safety, production, maintenance, warehousing, shipping, and office management.
• CUSTOMER SERVICE: Foster and maintain a high level of customer service through on-time deliveries, responsiveness to customer needs, ensuring all shipped product meets customer quality requirements.
• FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: Establish and monitor plant operating budget and shipments forecast; identify and implement continuous improvement efforts to positively affect profitability.
• SOURCE: Identify possible sources of local raw materials, while monitoring quality and cost-effectiveness; negotiate/manage supplier and vendor contracts.
• PARTNER: Collaborate with operations, regional sales, business development teams, and corporate team members to ensure product supply levels and customer service.
• DEVELOP TALENT: Build people capability through effective associate relations, hiring, training, and transparent communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel.
• REPRESENT: Develop and maintain positive community relations: participate in local activities and/or organizations to promote goodwill and a positive company image.
• STEWARDSHIP: Ensures compliance with all environmental, health & safety regulations, ordinances, and permit requirements.

What you’ll need to be successful:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other related fields.
• 5 years of department management experience in a manufacturing environment with a desire to grow into larger plant leadership roles in the future.
• Working knowledge of enabling functions of operations including environmental management, quality assurance, capital planning, production scheduling, and private fleet operations.
• Leads with an Entrepreneurial Spirit - curious, actively seeking out change, energized by new, tough assignments and overcoming obstacles, resilient, takes well-reasoned risks, and consistently executes.

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $118,400.00 - $139,300.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
