Position Summary: The Massachusetts Probation Service Training Division is responsible for the training and on-going professional development of over 1,800 Massachusetts Probation Service staff, including: unionized clerical support, probation officers, community corrections and electronic monitoring staff as well as probation management and executive leadership. The administrative assistant performs a variety of secretarial and administrative support duties within the MPS Training Division. Further, the successful candidate will also collaborate with their administrative counterparts in supporting the daily operations of the MPS Training and Operations Center (MTOC).

The position title above the entry level includes higher level secretarial and administrative duties. Employees are hired at the entry level position within the title and are eligible for reclassification to the higher level position title within the series consistent with the specifications for the higher level position title. Organizational Levels:
