One of the remaining missing pieces of our leadership team is in marketing. To take our in-house brands to the next level and establish brand equity in our primary markets, we need someone who can leverage their marketing education, experience, and proven strategies. For this reason, several years’ experience in marketing strategy will be required, and the experience should primarily be in fast-moving consumer packaged goods (FMCG or CPG). The company will be leaning on you to develop and execute strategies while working closely with our sales leaders, lawyers, tech/e-comm team, and other groups.
Another job requirement is that you must be excited about, and willing to rapidly learn, how to leverage the power of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in creative branding and marketing. There is no doubt that new technologies will have a major role in the future of marketing, and we will be expecting our Director of Marketing to stay ahead of the curve and leverage technology to create impactful marketing campaigns. For this reason, you will also be working closely with our Director of Technology.
Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing will oversee, coordinate, and participate in market research, strategy development, campaign execution, data-driven optimization, technology integration, event planning, and team management for achieving our branding and marketing objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Conduct intensive market research to gain a deep understanding of our target audience, competitors, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Leverage technology and AI in creative branding and marketing initiatives. Stay updated on the latest advancements in technology and AI within the marketing industry, exploring innovative ways to incorporate them into our branding and marketing efforts.
• Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives, presenting them to the board for approval.
• Execute approved marketing initiatives, taking them from ideation to completion while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, timelines, and budgets.
• Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, promotional events, and other related activities, ensuring their successful implementation and maximizing brand exposure.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, and design to create integrated marketing campaigns that effectively communicate our value proposition to customers.
• Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns and drive measurable results, adjusting as necessary to improve performance.
• Manage and develop a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Qualifications:
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market data, customer insights, and campaign performance metrics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present marketing strategies and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology in creative branding and marketing initiatives.
• Experience in managing and leading a team, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative marketing campaigns.
