The Protein Design team is an interdisciplinary team of computational and wet lab scientists focused on designing and producing innovative molecules to address challenging problems in early discovery and explore emerging therapeutic concepts. Our team has core capabilities in protein design including de novo design, protein engineering, and molecular biology. This position is ideally based at our South San Francisco, British Columbia, or Thousand Oaks sites, but we would consider remote from within the United States or Canada for candidates with a track... record of productive remote work. In this vital role you will drive innovation in protein design to support early-stage large molecule discovery. Use and develop computational strategies to tackle difficult structure-based protein design challenges relevant to therapeutic discovery, including for de novo design Work on multiple large molecule modalities such as target proteins, antibodies, and protein therapeutics Stay abreast in the latest developments of computational protein design methodologies and contribute to the continuous development of protein design approaches Develop and optimize computational workflows for efficient data analysis and visualization Collaborate with experimental teams and present findings to cross-functional teams Work with other computational groups at Amgen to align on strategies and projects Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
