Position Summary
The stores attendant is responsible for receiving material and issuing function in respective storerooms.
Position Responsibilities
• Issue parts from stores to employees in compliance with stores procedures
• Physically receive incoming material
• Follow plant safety guidelines.
• Enter materials issue records in SAP.
• Maintain and file receiving records.
• Physically verify receipts and issues on all stock and non-stock materials
• Maintain housekeeping in and around storeroom area.
• Ensure compliance with MRIR (material receipt & inspection report) procedure by all users before issuing any direct ordered materials and file relevant receiving documentation.
• Document MRIR for all received stock items.
• Stock all storeroom stock items & Direct order items in designated locations in storeroom.
• Adhere to storeroom procedures as per SOP’s.
• Bring any low stock items to stores supervisor attention for re-ordering.
• Drive forklift to load / unload material
• Physical count of stock items on stores shelves during inventory & cycle counts
Candidate Profile
• Working experience of 2~4 years in shipping / receiving warehouse
• Forklift operation experience
• Basic computer skills like Microsoft Office, internet usage etc with good typing speed
• Prior experience with SAP ERP systems preferred
• Conceptual understanding of mechanical / electrical material descriptions and their physical identification
• Work requires physical ability to lift to 50 Lbs.
• Work requires flexibility to work in shifts as per work schedule.
Education Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
