Index Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst to support Government clients for remote position. The Data Analyst will be responsible for data research, analysis and generating insights for the team.
Responsibilities
• Analyze datasets to uncover usable insights.
• Work with subject matter experts to understand what data is available and how it can be used. Work with data owners to arrange the collection and use of data. Work with the team to organize and derive findings from acquired data. Work with the team to make data available to consumers.
• Research and analyze data from multiple sources. Create and maintain data mapping documentation.
• Work with data sets to develop strategies to find and derive information to improve system understanding.
• Perform routine business analysis using various techniques (e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining)
• Research best practices and support development of solutions and recommendations for business operations. Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Provide business data interpretation, work with the internal or external client to identify analytical requirements and produce ad hoc data and reports.
Qualifications
• US citizen or lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or relevant discipline required.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in data collection, data analysis, methodology development and evaluation of health care data
• Ability to analyze, transform, and join data from different data sources to derive data to inform guidance for consumers
• Experience outlining work necessary for analysis of datasets and initiatives.
• Good communication skills to openly communicate and work closely with a team of engineers, internal and external stakeholders, and the client.
• Ability to utilize programming languages such as SQL, Java, Salesforce, Python, R, or Scala to perform data analysis is support of the development of data analytics
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-driven. Willingness to lead, take charge, offer opinions and direction. Escalates appropriately in a timely manner.
• Previous experience with CMS and IDR preferred
