Duties:
Invest Hong Kong is looking for a dynamic, high-calibre and passionate professional to join us as Senior Manager, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science to drive our investment promotion work in this field. You will be the key project manager to attract high potential and representative strategic enterprises in the Innovation and Technology (I&T) sector around the world to set up and expand in the city. Join us to help investors seize the growing business opportunities in the I&T sector in and via Hong Kong.

Duties

(a) To provide one-stop business facilitation services and tailor-made packages to strategic enterprises setting up/ expanding their operations in Hong Kong with a focus on AI and data science sectors, and to follow up with clients’ aftercare needs;

(b) To work with InvestHK’s overseas network, relevant government bureaux and departments, industry stakeholders and other public organisations (including Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, Cyberport, universities and research institutions) to coordinate investment promotion and marketing activities to attract and retain companies in the I&T sector with a focus on AI and data science from overseas and the Mainland;

(c) To prepare sales messages, presentations, marketing materials and undertake research initiatives mainly in AI and data science sectors;

(d) To acquire market intelligence and undertake desktop study and research on specific sectors or projects;

(e) To assist in receiving delegations / senior executives and implementing visit programmes for Mainaland / overseas vistors;

(f) To provide support to seniors on daily office operations and meetings with strategic enterprises from the target industries; and

(g) To perform other administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required.

Terms of Appointment:
Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.

Fringe Benefits
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and

(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
