Contract Overview:

Global Citizen is seeking a capable, passionate Private Sector Policy & Impact Consultant to join our Global Policy and Advocacy team. This consultant will work with private sector and impact teams, supporting Global Citizen’s 2023 work on fair financing, human rights, climate, women and girls, and civic space. This is a dynamic and exciting role that offers the opportunity to work with governments, private sector, NGOs, and internal stakeholders to drive forward government, industry, company-specific policy priorities and commitments. Key Responsibilities
• Complete research briefs on public and private sector policy issues, policy implementation, key actors in the development space
• Support development of communication materials eg FAQs, 1-pagers, presentation decks, talking points for the around financial and policy commitments for public & private sector stakeholders
• Support Salesforce data entry/tracking for internal impact and accountability tracking and private sector campaigning
• Provide administrative and project management support to the Global Citizen’s private sector policy and impact teams

Impact
• Track ODA & development news, trends, and key decision-making moments
• Interface with governments, private sector, NGOs, and internal stakeholders to report back on commitments made as part of Global Citizen advocacy campaigns and tentpole moments i.e, impact reporting.
• Conduct due diligence on governments and private sector commitment makers ensuring commitments are aligned with Global Citizen’s goals and objectives for all planned tentpole moments
• Support the development and implementation of commitment maker engagement plans for off track or at risk commitments.
• Process internal and external data requests, conduct data maintenance, upkeep, and dashboard production to insure real time and accurate data collection and proliferation for production, comms, PR, exec, and other stakeholders

Private Sector
• Lead initial redlining/brand risk assessment for companies and philanthropic commitment makers
• Conduct private sector-focused research to support policy engagement with corporate partners and for building out Global Citizen’s wider private sector network.
• Prepare briefs on company background related to sustainability plans, corporate social responsibility, and business and human rights
• Support relationship engagement with key private sector focused partner organizations/coalitions to help Global Citizen develop and drive forward industry and company-specific policy priorities and commitments.
• Support private sector strategy needed across all campaign policy areas including climate, civic space, hunger, women and girls (It should be noted that there are private sector grant deliverables embedded in our foundation grants including IFAD, Ford, Gates etc.)
• Support policy commitment outreach to over 200 companies ahead of tentpole moments.
• Support any custom co-chair outreach on private sector policy goals ahead of tentpole moments

Education & Experience
• Bachelors/ Masters Degree in political science, human rights, social impact international relations, or related fields.
• Knowledge and experience with non-governmental organizations, international institutions, United Nations agencies, and non-profit organizations a plus
• Experience with data management, measurement, and evaluation
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to handle projects with professionalism and discretion
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Highly proficient in MS Office, Excel, Google Suite, Salesforce

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and professional individual to support the Office of the CEO.

Deputy Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer provides key support to internal and external projects, ensures the Office is running according to its strategic timeline, provides on-the-ground support for the CEO, and more.

Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Chief of Staff primarily manages high-priority projects designed to achieve the Global Citizen’s mission; builds and maintains successful working relationships, and coordinates with a wide range of teams, staff, and stakeholders, internal and external.

Conduit: Support the Chief of Staff to ensure the organizational needs of the Office of the CEO are running at the highest level to ensure the office is effective and efficient. Ensures that all necessary background information/agenda and prep materials are prepared and vetted.

Communicator: Support the Chief of Staff with structure and process for better communication between the office of the CEO and the organization’s departments. Communicate and coordinate with people throughout the company, stakeholders, artists, policy, etc., in a professional, clear, articulate, and accurate manner - both verbally and in writing.

Program: Attending all meetings, speaking engagements, and events of the Office of the CEO as support staff. Tactfully making sure the Office stays on schedule, without getting distracted.
• Conduct monthly gap analysis on strategic scheduling / forward planning - needs and anticipations (CEO and offices needs)
• Supports COS with the communications of the OotCEO (i.e., stakeholder email outreach, social media support, handwritten correspondence, etc. )
• Provides support to major initiatives run out of the OotCEO, including coordination on speaking engagements, including large-scale projects and initiatives

Position Overview

The primary role is to support the Director(s) as they lead major accounts at Global Citizen, with a focus on coordinating the complex execution of partnership projects and deliverables. 1. Partner Coordination
• Support the delivery of partnership components across a portfolio of brands

Primary Responsibilities:
• Process Vendor invoices and employee out of pocket expenses
• Process wire payments for domestic and international vendors
• Set up finance systems accounts for new employees
• Prepare Bank reconciliation
• Prepare 1099 forms
• Assist employees and vendors with issues related to payments
• Provide finance and accounting assistance as needed
• Help with budget reconciliations
• Assist Senior Finance leaders with admin tasks as requested

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 2-year experience
• Detail Oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage Intacct, preferred
• The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-directed, work independently and collaboratively
