Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

•Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork lifts

•Picks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity

•Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments Quantifies and verifies cycle count

•Fills kits and deliver to production as required

•Process material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management system

•Coordinate with on-site and/or offsite warehousing facilities for parts replenishment and material for storage

•Work with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent part shortages

•Perform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule

•Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to Supervisor

•Follows work procedures and schematics including complex instructions regarding duties to be performed

•Performs manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets

•Assists in the writing and/or developing of work procedures

•Works independently and completes basic troubleshooting

•Maintains daily production output

•Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures

•Participates in quality control inspections when required

•Works with team leaders, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency

Quality Specific Goals:

1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

3. Training: Aware of and comply with GEHC training requirements Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation, configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specification.

Required Qualifications:

•High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent

•Willingness to work off-shifts if needed

•Willingness to work at an off-site warehouse location if needed

•Proficient in basic mathematics

•Proficient with basic hand tools such as but not limited to, saw, screwdriver, wrench, ratchets

•Basic computer skills and software tools to include, but not limited to, Windows, Outlook & Microsoft Office Suite

•Ability to consistently lift

•2 or more years of storing and material handling or related experience

•Ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties to be performed

•Team player who is accountable for team's success delivering business targets and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

Job Summary:
• Determine product needs and specifications and develop power electronic module and sub-system to meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
• Perform design of the power module to requirements.
• Research and develop new power packaging technologies (interconnect systems, assembly and manufacturing techniques, material systems, etc.) to advance the state of the art in electronics packaging.

Required Qualifications:
• Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience packaging power electronic components
• Relevant experience designing and fabricating power electronic modules and sub-systems
• Expertise in 3D modeling and mechanical design tools
• Understanding of mechanical, thermal, and electrical simulation tools
• Experience with reliability testing and failure analysis for electronics

Essential Responsibilities

The Manufacture Worker must be willing to perform work in a team environment – adhering to all attendance and safety rules, regulations & equipment requirements. As an hourly manufacturing employee, you will:
• Assemble, bend, form, braze, tape, stack Generator parts, assemblies and components on both New Build work and Services
• Assist in testing and minor inspections as needed
• Move material/product using cranes (Level 2) and other approved material movement equipment to perform work tasks such as fork trucks
• Unload and prepare parts/product for shipment
• Assemble, fit and connect a variety of Generator parts and components
• Perform Complex repair work. Provide on-the job training to other personnel as needed
• Provide on-the-job training to other personnel as needed. Complete other daily housekeeping functions including 5s and parts kitting. Assist in all aspects for Service and Repair work
• Must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and practices and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost including, but not limited to: use of all required personal protective equipment, ensuring machine guards and safety features are working, identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions; attention to detail - identifying and reporting quality issues found through in-line checking and reporting of critical appearance defects for resolution
• Physical demands of the position include: Constant standing; frequently handling various parts for assembly; frequent walking, reaching at waist level, pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity, neck flexion, and using air tools; occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder level, reaching at knee and floor level, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, ladder/stair climbing, pivoting, twisting, neck extension/rotation, and using vibratory tools. Handling and lifting of parts and/or equipment
• Ability to work in a loud/noisy environment
• The factories are not climate controlled – conditions can be hot or cold
• Ability to work overtime as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 1 year manufacturing, warehouse or similar work experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability and willingness to work overtime
