The Sales & Applications Engineer will be responsible for driving VRF sales through specifying rep agencies and qualified HVAC distributors to help further Haier’s VRF and Ductless solutions for a multitude of commercial applications. This is a remote field-based job to be located in a major city within the Region that is convenient to a major airport. This is a new key Sales leadership role within the new Air & Water Solutions HVAC/Plumbing business at GE Appliances so represents a groundbreaking opportunity to be an impactful part of our new and growing team!

How You'll Create Possibilities

Essential Responsibilities

•Own all aspects of the relationships and management/supervision process for all spec reps.

•Develop and monitor metrics that drive spec rep success with our VRF products and that hold them accountable to volume commitments.

•Develop a full-scale sales, marketing and operational plan to create a growth oriented business model within region.

•Own the creation and execution of annual sales plans/strategies within region to ensure attainment of both sales and margin objectives for the VRF/Ductless business.

•Become familiar and foster relationships with other Spec Rep firms so options exist that adequately support growth plans.

•Cross-functional interaction and collaboration efforts with “core A&W” Field Sales Team (ASM’s/NAM’s) to help us review VRF capabilities of current and prospective HVAC distributors that seek to sell our VRF line.

•Develop, create and foster relationships with key stakeholders at targeted distributors in the region.

•Develop relationships with local architects, engineers, contractors and other design-build professionals to educate them on Haier VRF, Haier DFS products and their applications

•Translate relationships into business opportunities and results.

•Effectively articulate the value proposition of our Ductless solutions and services to dealers/distributors.

•Assist with design and application of Haier products

•Actively participate in Distributor/Manufacturer rep Sales planning.

•Develop Distributor/Manufacturer sales personnel to be proficient in selling/offering Haier VRF products

•Conduct product introduction meetings and product training

•Communicate Federal, State and Local code compliance requirements and ASHRAE design guidelines

•Create short and long-term dealer/distributor plans in concert with the Senior Commercial Director, Ductless.

•Increase bottom line profits in the region through careful analysis of P&L with Senior Commercial Director, Ductless.

•Develop strong partnership between with operation functions, drastically improving overall efficiency and customer satisfaction levels.

•Develop and maintain pipeline of all project quotes, hold spec reps accountable for “building it out” and providing follow-ups on status of the pending quotes.

•Travel throughout the Region on a regular basis and nationally as needed to represent Company at industry events, attend corporate meetings or support strategic customers outside of the Region.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

•Minimum 5+ years of sales, applications support or relevant business experience

•Experienced in the commercial HVAC industries with direct background in VRF products, systems & applications selling

•Experience can include selling for VRF manufacturer, spec rep firms or commercial oriented HVAC distributor.

•Demonstrated effective written, oral and presentation skills; must be comfortable to conduct training to groups.

•Natural team player & tenacity to never give up

•Self-starter, resilient energy, high motivation and proven customer focus.

•Approximately 30-40% travel is necessary and required

Desired Qualifications/Characteristics

•Proven Sales Management and business development experience.

•Ability to train, develop and motivate a sales force without a direct reporting relationship.

•Proven analytical skills; attention to detail.

•Ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing priorities.
