SCOPE: The HR Specialist Compensation administers staff compensation programs for global staff among other duties that contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive total reward program that supports effective retention and engagement of a global high-performing workforce, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct job evaluations to determine appropriate job levels, pay grade, position level.

• Collaborate with the HR business partners to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.

• Reviews and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.

• Works closely with HR business partners on pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluations.

• Work with payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and changes to pay rates.

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll related questions.

• Research and determine payroll liability by state. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, payroll tax obligations and internal protocols.

• Administers compensation programs for global staff.

• Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and business objectives.

• Participate in industry compensation and benefits surveys

• Collaborate with Finance on reporting and audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

• Create, modify, and update spreadsheets and other electronic media in order to help illustrate recommendations, trends, and a variety of market data; generate ad hoc reports as needed for various compensation analysis and departmental requests.

• Maintains knowledge of trends, developments and best practices in compensation and benefits administration

OTHER DUTIES:

• Maintain staff confidence by protecting and maintaining confidentiality of personnel data.

• Maintains professional and technical HR knowledge by attending workshops, conferences or webinars.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

The Children’s Minister will acknowledge and submit to the authority of the Lord, while leading parents/guardians and children to join the mission of Cross Timbers Baptist Church and the global church.

The Children’s Minister will submit to the authority and leadership of the Pastor while serving as an integral member of the staff. This person will also provide spiritual and practical leadership to children, parents/guardians, and children’s ministry volunteers in a Christlike and appropriate manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities of the Children’s Minister fall under the main categories of discipleship, administration & communication, and spiritual leadership.

DISCIPLESHIP

Plan and execute an overall curriculum plan that provides a balanced and comprehensive discipleship process for children, ages birth through 6th grade. This plan should include:

? The equipping of parents to disciple their own children, including basic childhood development education and Christ-like engagement of the culture.

? The children participating in authentic personal and corporate worship.

? The building blocks of prayer.

? The understanding of sin, forgiveness, and salvation through Jesus.

? The importance of sharing Christ with others and how to do that.

ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNICATION

Plan & oversee regular events including but not limited to: Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Camp. Events should be utilized for the purpose of reaching families in the community with the Gospel and further discipleship of the children in our church.

Create and successfully execute an annual children’s ministry budget according to the church’s policies and procedures.

Work in conjunction with the Minister of Students & Outreach to transition children from the children’s ministry to the student ministry.

Appropriately recruit, train, and equip volunteers for Sunday School, Worship Care (during the worship service for K & under), and other church activities as needed. This would also include the hiring & supervision of paid nursery workers, and maintaining MinistrySafe Training & background checks for all volunteers and workers.

Represent the children’s ministry during staff meetings, church council, and business meetings, as well as attend other church functions.

Able to use and communicate through email, text, Microsoft, and Google programs.

SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP

The Children’s Minister is expected to maintain a strong personal relationship with the Lord so that they are able to appropriately guide parents and volunteers with wisdom from the Lord, supplemented with necessary training opportunities.

Lead volunteers and teachers by example to build personal relationships with the children and their families.

Make prayer an integral part of the children’s ministry in both planning for events and incorporated into ministry programs.
