Job Posting: Accounting Manager - Receivables Specialist
Fatboy USA, a growing international home furnishing and lighting brand, is seeking a general accountant with experience in the product industry. Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented accountant with a passion for managing receivables? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your expertise contributes to success? · Manage the end-to-end receivables and payables process, including invoicing, posting payments and vendor invoices, initiating vendor payments, and maintaining a digital filing system.
· Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and follow up on overdue payments.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and customer inquiries.
· Manage prepaid expenses and accrual reports.
· Perform monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Assist in preparing supporting schedules and audits required for month-end closing as needed.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in receivables management.
· Make sure things happen that need to happen!
Have you got it?
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting with a strong focus on receivables management.
· Experience with managing receivables for Amazon, Wayfair, 2 Modern, and other online retailers is required.
· Proficiency in accounting software and SAP ERP systems
· Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and GAAP.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.
· Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
