The Bon Appétit and Epicurious test kitchen is responsible for creating dozens of original and compelling recipes each month for our print magazine and digital platforms. Our recipes are interwoven with our broader editorial mission and Test Kitchen team members at the Food Editor level are expected to generate ideas and content of all types, and be knowledgeable about all phases of recipe production. This includes pitching, recipe development, cross-testing, working across content platforms and closely collaborating with our visual teams.

The Epicurious Food Editor will work primarily, but not exclusively, on content that will live on Epicurious.com and in the Epicurious App. They will also be encouraged to contribute to Bon Appétit in both print and digital. All Test Kitchen members are expected to create content across platforms, such as in articles, social, video, and through events. This position requires an ability to translate culinary knowledge into actionable recipes geared towards home cooks. It also requires the ability to collaborate with outside recipe developers and chefs, and help turn others’ culinary vision into accessible content. Strong candidates are creative, passionate about food and cooking, and great with deadlines. They should possess a strong editorial voice alongside their culinary skills.

We are looking for a creative development director to drive the continued growth of Condé Nast Entertainment’s leading digital video business, a primary function in our evolution into a 21st century world class entertainment company. As Director, Creative Development, Bon Appetit and Epicurious, you will direct landmark series and work alongside other creative leads to build two of Condé Nast’s most important brands. • Help create innovative layout styles and standards for the magazine, including covers and features.

Bon Appétit and Epicurious are looking for a digital production assistant with a deep and demonstrable interest in cooking to join our team of dedicated, hard-working, food-obsessed writers, editors, and recipe developers. This is an entry-level position that straddles the editorial and the food teams, and whose chief responsibilities include web production (building recipes and stories in our CMS) and project management related to recipes and recipe-related content. The Epicurious Food Editor will work primarily, but not exclusively, on content that will live on Epicurious.com and in the Epicurious App.

They will also be encouraged to contribute to Bon Appétit in both print and digital. All Test Kitchen members are expected to create content across platforms, such as in articles, social, video, and through events.

This position requires an ability to translate culinary knowledge into actionable recipes geared towards home cooks. It also requires the ability to collaborate with outside recipe developers and chefs, and help turn others’ culinary vision into accessible content.

Strong candidates are creative, passionate about food and cooking, and great with deadlines. They should possess a strong editorial voice alongside their culinary skills.

The Epicurious Food Editor will report into the Deputy Food Editor and work closely with the Food Director and Epicurious Digital Director.

Strong candidates will possess hands-on professional cooking experience along with relevant editorial experience.

Primary Responsibilities :

Oversee the digital lineups for Epicurious and act as assigning editor for new digital recipe content

Responsibilities may include:

• Ideate, establish, and reinforce consistent design systems across platforms.
