The Manager, Post-Production is responsible for all oversight in post-production and reports directly to the Senior Director, Video Content.

The Manager, Post-Production will be the custodian of the post-team, ensuring creative quality, timely delivery, technical proficiency and team cohesion. They will be skilled at both managing and editing, and able to jump on the 'tools' and edit projects when required.

The Manager, Post-Production will be the process expert that will keep the team efficient and organized. This will entail working with the post-production coordinator to create and adhere to complex schedules to deliver content to prescribed publishing dates. This position will have key input into the creative process to ensure that all content is polished, professional, and meets the Edmunds' standard. They will be able to lead by example.

Additionally, the Manager, Post-Production will be responsible for identifying when to use freelance vendors, onboarding of vendors, and tracking all related costs. They will also work closely with internal stakeholders ensuring that briefs are defined and understood, and that there's an efficient flow of assets being received and distributed.

The role requires the ability to oversee multiple productions and crew to meet tight deadlines. The role is responsible for maintaining a high standard for all of Edmunds' visual content. The right candidate will be confident managing multiple projects and people at any one time; is able to jump in and edit videos to an expert level of delivery; can work collaboratively across Edmunds and within our team, can communicate clearly and directly with all involved stakeholders, can manage a team of video editors and assistant editors; and have the patience and flexibility to operate in a fluid and busy environment with multiple challenging projects.

What You'll Do:
• Oversee the Post-Production Coordinator to ensure the timely delivery of video content to all stakeholders.
• Recruit, lead and coach a team of skilled editors by defining team and individual goals, managing performance and encouraging continuous skill growth.
• Oversee the day-to-day staffing organization of video editor staff, contractors and video editing vendors (as needed) by assigning and managing video post projects.
• Oversee the post-production schedule with the Post-Production Coordinator and Production Managers to ensure edits are on time and on budget and content is delivered on deadline.
• Ensure that all post-projects meet a high standard of production value and are editorially sound.
• Discuss, develop, and evaluate story ideas and pitches with team members and outside parties. Where appropriate, participate in and/or assign video editors to attend pre-production meetings to ensure that the post process is incorporated.
• Engage with producers and help with production-related decisions.
