Will use various shop equipment including table saws, drill presses, routers, sandblast equipment, brush, roller, airless spray and other specialized equipment and air and electric hand held tools.
This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.
Qualifications
Required:
• Must be available to work all shifts
• Must be available to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
• Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
Preferred:
• High school diploma/GED; Additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
• Previous paint/coatings or related experience or training
• Experience applying coatings via brush, roller, conventional sprayers & airless sprayers
• Experience working in the construction industry or a manufacturing environment
• Previous carpentry or auto body experience or related trade training
• Knowledge and use of Graco or equivalent painting tools & equipment
• NACE certification

Rigger duties include :
Electric Boat Riggers participate in all indoor & outdoor lifting, handling and moving of heavy loads at the facility.

• Riggers will work with mobile cranes with a capacity of up to 120 ton and overhead cranes (radio control and pendent control) with a capacity of up to 60 ton. Riggers will eventually become trained and qualified to operate overhead cranes and forklifts along with types of handling gear
• This position requires the use of hand signals to communicate with mobile crane operators to ensure all lifting and handling functions are completed properly and safely
