The Web Content Manager manages the Academy’s digital content for the organizational websites (eatright.org, eatrightPRO.org, eatrightSTORE.org) and CMS workflow. This Chicagoland-based, telecommuting option available... position also updates and optimizes the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (eatrightFNCE.org) and Academy Foundation (eatrightFoundation.org) websites.

The successful candidate will possess a firm understanding of best practices as they relate to online user experience and accessibility; capacity to learn new tools and programs; strong copyediting and communication skills; and enthusiasm and desire to thrive on a dynamic, supportive team that works closely with leaders across the organization.

This position requires:
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Strong project management and copyediting skills are a must.
• Ability to exercise a good degree of reasoning and judgment in the identification of organizational needs and corresponding online solutions.
• Proficiency in basic to intermediate HTML and experience in content management systems (Sitecore, Higher Logic and/or Wordpress preferred).
• Firm understanding of current digital best practices and the tools used to measure its effectiveness, in addition to imagination and creativity.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines, multi-task, good interpersonal and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Online Communications, Digital Media, Web Strategy or Web Project Management and 2-3 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:
• Planning, writing/assigning, editing and posting articles for consumers on eatright.org and practitioners on eatrightPRO.org
• Managing editorial calendars and working collaboratively with colleagues for coordinated, cohesive messaging
• Writing and reviewing a variety of communications (e.g.
video scripts, infographics, recipes, social media messaging, etc.) to ensure accuracy and branding adherence
• Overseeing creative development of campaign themes and messaging
• The Dietetics Content Manager will reinforce the Academy s role as a credible source of solid, science-based information on food and nutrition and be responsible for reviewing content for accuracy.
• Developing new digital media content, reviewing/refreshing current content and finding creative ways to repackage content also will be a key focus for the Dietetics Content Manager.
• The ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive, collaborative and excited to grow the organization s digital presence.
This position reports to the Director of Creative Media.

Background Requirements:
• Bachelor s Degree in Dietetics and Communications or related field (Master s degree preferred);
• RDN credential and 5-7 years of relevant work experience are required.
• Familiarity with web platforms a plus and proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications required.
• Must be able to work well with writers, managers, experts and other content contributors across the Academy.
• Must show superior editing skills, strong attention to detail, good problem-solving and excellent listening and verbal communication.
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Some travel to industry events or meetings may be required.
