What You'll Be Doing

This role will report to the General Manager, Commodities have P&L accountability for their respective product line(s) . The person in this role will work with a cross-functional team of individuals to develop and implement a global product line profit growth strategy including but not limited to developing and implementing an active pipeline of project s organized around the overall mission to maximize the value the product line delivers for the Primient enterprise.

Details About What You Will Be Doing
• Manage Sales Team
• $600 million in annual sales of corn gluten feed, corn gluten meal, corn oil, and mycelium to be sold in the domestic and export markets
• 0versee account maintenance activities (forecasting, compliance, etc.) and gap closing plans as neede d
• Develop and manage an overall growth strategy and pipeline of profit improvement /value acceleration projects (VAP) for their p roduct l ine
• Identify market opportunities and develop new value creating opportunities including capital projects to deliver the growth strategy
• Use customer and internal data analytics to measure and improve the performance of the portfolio
• Take the lead role in making the business case for additional capital investment to drive value creation for their product line
• Develop a thorough Value Chain Analysis for th e product line, identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the value chain
• Work with M anufacturing and Supply chain partners to d evelop an active innovation portfolio across product, process, and/or service for the product line (i.e., identify & help to remove bottlenecks, improve yields, improve quality, product / packaging rationalization, etc.)
• Optimize global best practices to implement solutions at multiple sites
• Develop co-products and ethanol industry market understanding and actionable intelligence
• Understand market trends including supply & demand factors for corn-based co-products and ethanol
• Have a strong understanding of commodities pricing and net raw materials transfer
• Understand customer needs, conduct competitive analysis, develop market intel and develop actionable insights
• Play the lead role in developing the AOP (annual operating plan), gaining consensus with all key stakeholders on the plan, and then deliver ing the planned P&L for the product line
• Leverage pricing tools and market perspective to d evelop annual volume and pricing strategy for the product line
• Developing the short- and long-term product and customer mix strategy for the product line
• Coordinate with manufacturing & supply chain teams to support consistent & reliable operations and service levels
• Work with finance business partners to translate commercial perspectives and understand financial outlook to formulate financial forecasts
• Implement and lead business management processes ( i.e., business boards, etc.) that drive organizational awareness and alignment on priorities to deliver plan
• Oversee Nutrition Team
• General knowledge of animal nutrition and ability to communicate with customers on the benefits of feeding mid to high protein corn ingredients

What You'll Need To Have
• Commodities trading , nut r ition, and s ales experience
• 10+ y ears of relevant experience
• Critical thinking, strong analytics and financial acumen
• Breadth of experiences collaborating across functions is preferred (commercial, manufacturing, finance, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence others without authority
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Primary Locations - This job will be based out of our Decatur, Illinois office

Trave l Required - Some US based travel required to other Primient locations and customers

Proven ability of assessing risk and exercising sound judgment in making decisions. Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage effectively within a team based work environment. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with end-users, suppliers, and internal customers. Computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of spreadsheet, database, word processing software, and applications within a windows based environment.
