About Us:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation harnesses the power of business to create solutions for the good of America and the world. We anticipate, develop, and deploy solutions to challenges facing communities-today and tomorrow.

An important part of our work focuses on civics, democracy, and the nation's free enterprise system. These are crucial issues shaping the environment in which businesses operate, and their ability to prosper and lift communities. We are committed to elevating civics as a national priority through nonpartisan activities focused on civics literacy and civics at work.

Position Summary:

We're looking for a partnerships professional or client relations specialist to recruit new partners and manage existing relationships as we expand our programming. The main priority of this position will be to manage components of projects associated with the National Civics Bee and other elements of our Civic Trust initiative. This person will serve as the day-to-day contact for local partners and function as a liaison with other parts of the organization to ensure that our work is fully coordinated.

What you'll do:
• Manage the administration of National Civics Bee partnerships, including recruitment, contract negotiation, grant management, scheduling, trainings, and meetings.
• Maintain accurate and current data in Salesforce that tracks key partner contact information, interactions, and activities; help upskill colleagues as we build the integration into our operations.
• Develop and distribute routine communications, including emails, surveys, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
• Lead regular check-in meetings.
• Respond to partner inquiries and work with senior staff to address issues and concerns.
• Help plan virtual and in-person events.
• Collect and analyze feedback from partners and strategize how the Foundation should respond.
• Conduct prospect research and informational calls with potential partners.
• Support the operations, administration, and user engagement of the National Civics Bee Learning Management System.
• Perform additional tasks across the Foundation's civics portfolio, working at the direction of senior personnel in a matrixed structure that is intended to promote collaboration and efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed (requirements):
• A minimum level of education is not required. Applicants should have 3+ years of relevant experience in an organization with complex operations.
• Proficient in Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud platforms or equivalent or willingness to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and cloud-based applications.
• Experience using digital communication tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Passionate about helping people and supporting trust and engagement in the network.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct and summarize research.
• Flexibility to travel domestically.

What will make you an exceptional team member (preferences):
• Effective decision making with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, intellectually curious, creative, and team-oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow with the team.
• An interest in civics and economics.

How you can grow with us:

As you excel in the responsibilities listed here, this position provides the opportunity for additional professional development and greater ownership over civics programs and workflows.

Your main priority in this role will be to manage components of projects associated with the National Civics Bee and other elements of our Civic Trust initiative. You will serve as the day-to-day contact for local partners and function as a liaison with other parts of the organization to ensure our work is fully coordinated.
