Work you'll do

Seeking a Cyber and Virtual Currency Analyst to support our client. The analyst must posses the following experience
• Providing integrated cyber, financial, virtual asset/virtual currency, and business analysis with advanced analytics and data science to support national security, criminal, cyber and counterintelligence investigations, and operations.
• Identifying and tracing funding sources and interrelated transactions.
• Performing blockchain analytical work in support of multi-agency cyber, criminal, and national security matters and draft actionable reports on findings.
• Utilizing a variety of commercial, open-source tools, and proprietary data sources, to collect, review, and analyze data with a focus on virtual currency and cyber areas.
• Assisting with virtual currency, and other related investigations by utilizing publicly available information, financial investigative tools, open-source databases, commercial databases, proprietary contractor tools and data, and government sources of information to identify investigative leads, and other investigative actions and communicate those findings.
• Developing investigative guidance and best practices for cyber financial investigations. (This includes the development of analytical methodologies, processes, and tradecraft for identifying cyber financial crimes.)
• Developing mitigation strategies, investigative techniques, and viable forensic methods regarding detection and/or discovery of deception and fraud related to cyber financial intrusions.
• Liaison with other Government agencies to further operational and intelligence functions.
• Work and develop partnerships with private industry and academia to develop strategic intelligence on emerging cyber threats, identify trends and research in the space, and collaborate on the development of analytical tools.

Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor's degree required

We are seeking an Operations Associate for Currency Management to assist in the team’s pursuit of maintaining best practices in business, client and risk operations by working on regular operations tasks, focusing on operations projects and serving as a backup to daily operations. This role will focus on growing to managing, and becoming the primary, on many of the operations tasks, and grow into the primary daily collateral management role.

Locations: Chicago (approximate hours 10am – 7pm) or Seattle (approximate hours 8am – 5pm)

Responsibilities:
• Currency daily operations
• trade confirmation, trade settlement, multi-jurisdictional regulatory reporting, and client onboarding
• Daily collateral management
• Collateral call and pledging processing, daily client reporting, reconciliation and internal record management.
• Currency operations tasks such as: coordinating our external due diligence efforts on third party vendors, partnering with internal and external auditors to complete annual audits, working with Currency counterparties to provide credit support documents on a regular basis and working with custodian banks.
• Research
• Global regulatory compliance, best practices, procedure writing.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Regulatory adherence, and regulatory filing
• Legal
• ISDA and CSA agreements, Investment Management Agreements, and general contract management
• Assist in complying with firm policies and procedures
• Maintain superior written operational procedures.
• Assist in and work toward leading ad hoc operational projects covering client and risk operations.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant discipline
• Self-starter challenged by ability to take on new initiatives and work independently.
• Focused and organized with superior problem solving skills, strong attention to detail is critical in this role
• Proactively seek out process improvement opportunities and efficiencies
• Advanced Excel skills including writing in VBA required. Ability to program in SQL and/or Python is desired.
• Proficiency with mathematics, and familiarity with financial calculations
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities effectively and with a high degree of accuracy and independence
• Ability to anticipate needs and/or problems and react appropriately
• Exceptional organizational, oral and written skills.
• Experience with operations and collateral management preferred.
