As a direct result of working 80 on-site monthly hours during every weekday morning, the stress counselor will generate monthly reports and recommendations to the Medical Officer and the Chief of Human Resources Services on all his/her activities.

Responsibilities
Under the direct administrative surveillance of the Medical Officer, and overall supervision of the Chief of Human Resources, the counsellor will implement a wide range of wellbeing, mental health, and stress management... activities, in accordance with the strategic framework on critical incident stress prevention and management and the United Nations Standard Operating Procedure on critical stress incidents. The main activities to be developed by Staff Counsellour are: 1. Develop and implement a wellbeing and stress management plan for ECLAC Offices. 2. Perform an ongoing assessment and monitor the determinants of wellbeing and stress of ECLAC Staff. 3. Provide twice a year group counselling sessions for ECLAC board of directors; addressing their needs. 4. Provide monthly group counselling sessions to ECLAC Divisions and/or Units; addressing the needs of the different teams. 5. Implement preventive, mitigating and stress management group activities within ECLAC. 6. Organize and deliver awareness activities on stress, and stress related issues for ECLAC. 7. Promote, plan, and implement wellbeing group activities for ECLAC staff 8. Identify, address, and refer after the 3rd appointment all patients identified as needing further assistance to an external specialist and follow up on critical incident stress cases among ECLAC colleagues. 9. Stablish an accredited external network of Psychiatrists and Psychologists who will know ECLAC Culture and will manage mental health illnesses. 10. Liaise with locally accredited Psychiatric or Psychologist experts and Health provider institutions in Chile for referral and follow up of each case
Qualifications/special skills
- University degree in Psychology (Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology Master's -Degree after bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling or Psychoeducation or -Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Counselling with at least one supervised clinical internship in a mental health setting and or UN certified training in psychosocial service provision can be accepted in the absence of an advanced degree on an exceptional country specific basis where there is a dearth of qualified mental health professionals with post graduate qualifications -Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in psychological counselling, psychotherapy and or psychoeducation essential -Additional certification, training and or experience in a broad range of related fields, such as alcohol/substance abuse, stress management, psychosomatic disease, behavioral problems, psychosocial programming would be an asset.
• Well-developed communication, leadership and team building skills.
• Prior experience with the United Nations is desirable

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and the local language (Spanish).
