A Product Manager is the specialist in their market, the problem solver for the learner, and the leader of their product team across Cengage! You are accountable for the entire lifecycle of your products. You build your product strategy by developing hypotheses, evaluating data, analyzing market and competitive trends, testing ideas in the market, iterating, and ultimately making product decisions based on evidence and insights. This dynamic and highly visible position within our Digital Services department is vital to driving high customer retention and satisfaction. The Digital Success Specialist position will be primarily remote with a requirement to come into the Independence, KY office for meetings and events as requested with travel less than 10% of the time. This role takes ownership to deliver on the promise of ensuring every customer derives maximum value from our digital solutions, primarily focused on the onboarding process, retention of our customers, and renewal each term. This position builds and maintains consultative relationships with customers as well as internal partners and cross-functional teams. This dedicated role partners with our Sales team and supports sales activities through strategic interactions that could lead to sales opportunities and/or increased retention.

Position Description

We are looking for someone who is energetic and organized to join a dynamic Marketing team! The successful candidate will work closely with the Math Sr. Product Marketing Manager in driving go-to-market campaigns and collateral that promote easy to use, quality digital solutions. They will also support our sales team by driving internal sales enablement tools and training. There is also an opportunity for the incumbent to flex their marketing muscles as this role will require marketing a portfolio of products!

• Partner with the Product Marketing team to craft messaging and sales tools, and determine the promotional needs of the portfolio.
• Collaborate with product marketing colleagues on the analysis and creation of effective marketing strategies across the organization.
• Synthesize market and customer insights to inform go-to-market and go-to-sales strategies.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure that portfolio business and revenue goals are met and exceeded.
• Build and implement measurable integrated marketing campaigns and thought leadership strategies to increase brand affinity and digital product usage.
• Translate the portfolio’s business objectives, market opportunities and offerings into a formal, cohesive go-to-market architecture.
• Build sales tools, training materials, and compelling content and collateral including customer presentations, flyers/brochures, and case studies that help the sales team build and close pipeline.
• Routinely assess competitive landscape and dynamics, providing insights and strategies to differentiate Cengage from others in the market.
• Tell a compelling product story that engages our sales force, brings together new customer markets and drives sales.
• Establish relationships with market influencers and advocates!
• Monitor and maintain accuracy of product information and resources in the online product catalogue and other external-facing systems.
• Contribute to the development of strategies by staying current with competitive updates and market trends.
• Provide insights into portfolio-owned industry conference attendance and engagement.
