Role Introduction

Cathay Pacific Airways is looking for an ambitious individual to join the Sales and Distribution team in San Francisco. Reporting directly to the Head of Trade Sales (West), this position will continuously seek to acquire new business and establish Cathay in new markets. Achieving and exceeding agreed Trade Sales targets though proactive negotiation and management of existing agency sales and indirect sales channels.

Salary Range –
• $79,176 – $119,460

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generations
• Acquire high value global and local trade partners as per agreed targets using an insights driven approach
• Actively initiate and follow up on sales actions, obtain sales leads and dynamically seek new business
• Engage in consultative and insightful selling techniques and services with a dedicated focus on new business development
• Actively assist in transforming the culture from one of relationship-based selling to an insights-driven smarter selling ethos
• Ensure strong focus is given to seeking opportunities in the High-end leisure market including renewals and repeat business

Portfolio Management
• Ensure management of the local relationship for Global Trade Partners
• Service the existing portfolio in order to maintain and grow the value (focusing on revenue growth)
• Make regular sales visits to clients to conduct presentations, seminars, provide updates on products and services in order to enhance sales opportunities and facilitate sales process
• Ensure that prioritization allows for focus on the top revenue generating trade partners and actively seek ways to improve the quality of the revenue generated by the portfolio
• Negotiate rates, commissions and contracts in a timely manner against a background of data and yields to achieve the best return on investment and have a mutually beneficial outcome
• Ensure that a cohesive sales activity and marketing plan is in place and managed with each incentivized trade partner
• Actively search for new corporate sales leads through the Trade Partners and ensure these are passed on to the Corporate Sales teams
• Be the airline’s ambassador within the portfolio to maintain strong relationships ensuring positive and prominent brand position and partner trust\

General
• Actively manage the cost of sales needed to generate the revenue within the mandated parameters
• Closely monitor the effectiveness of incentive schemes by conducting regular and timely performance reviews in order to maximize available and potential revenue and market share shift opportunities
• Actively promote the use of new tools and technology to enhance communication, convenience, efficiency and service experience
• Utilize Salesforce to manage new and existing customers and sales activities
• Utilize DDS and QlikSense to track the account performance
• Represent Cathay Pacific at industry and networking events
• Any other reasonable task as requested

E&A
• Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required

Requirements

Academic Qualifications
• Certification in a relevant Sales business field

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
• Three to four years recent experience in Sales
• Knowledge of, or experience in, the airline industry is a distinct advantage
• Knowledge of, or experience in, the Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong/China) is a distinct advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable networking and relationship management skills
• Solid experience in working in an environment with targets and achieving targets
• Strong negotiation skills

Role Introduction

Cathay Pacific Airways is looking for a Head of Lifestyle to join the San Francisco Travel & Lifestyle team in in a salaried capacity. The successful individual will work with the Regional Head of Customer Travel & Lifestyle, the local Cathay Pacific team and head office to grow the lifestyle business in local market.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Planning
• Formulate and drive business strategy with alignment with head office to meet the agreed lifestyle objectives, support lifestyle priorities and achieve the lifestyle growth and revenue targets
• Monitor and review business performance to meet strategic growth plan
• Propose new ideas and areas of improvement based on own knowledge of local market, research and available consumer insights and lead change to support future business strategy
• Control and monitor the relevant budget expenditures within the lifestyle team

Lifestyle Partnerships
• Develop local partnerships under the key lifestyle pillars, including payment, holidays, shopping, wellness and dining according to the region’s lifestyle objective to provide a network of partners to engage Cathay members through accrual and redemption propositions
• Manage relationship with partners and support operational requirements including commercial term negotiation, responding to partner enquiries and entering contracts with partner
• Negotiate commercial offers for marketing promotion and campaigns to increase awareness of local partner propositions

Redemption & Rewards
• Build awareness of usage of lifestyle redemption platforms including Cathay Shop and travel awards platform

Coordination with Local Team
• Work with local Cathay Pacific teams including digital sales, marketing and business development to expand Cathay’s travel and lifestyle propositions to local markets

Legal Compliance

The successful candidate will lead and manage all brand and marketing activity across the region with the ultimate goal of driving brand and business targets

Key Responsibilities

Marketing
• Formulate regional marketing and brand strategy to maximise market relevance and impact
• Render marketing support for travel, lifestyle and cargo business locally, including but not limited to management of lifestyle content on the website

Membership & Customer Relations

• Work in line with Head Office strategy in ensuring the responsible teams in the region provide timely professional responses to customer feedback in compliance with local legislation

B2B Strategy
• Orchestration of marketing and cross team resources to build and support deliver of cargo marketing initiatives and campaigns that drive brand awareness and solution sales in the region

Agency Management
