CARS Marketplace Engineering is looking for top talent to join our team for an exciting new phase of our business and technical evolution. In 2021, we launched our new platform that transformed Cars.com, a 20-year-old public company, and will ultimately enable our continued innovation and fuel our mission.

For this role, we are looking for an Engineer who is passionate about Cloud Engineering development, infrastructure, operations, and optimizations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in DevOps & containerization, including a significant amount of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), multiple years of supporting & scaling production systems, and experience or understanding of what it means to implement infrastructure-as-code, ideally using Terraform.

This role is positioned within our Cloud Engineering team and works closely with our various Product Engineering teams to collaborate on new projects, operate and maintain the existing platform, and look ahead to what is in the future with AWS.

Responsibilities
• Build and support cloud infrastructure for new and existing applications within AWS
• Support product delivery through collaboration with software engineering teams to implement solutions for systems and applications
• On-call support of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Participate in our Engineering team culture through Pull Request reviews, project and team retrospectives
• Design, document, and maintain our cloud infrastructure via Infrastructure-as-Code

Skills & Experience:

Must Haves
• Solid DevOps experience with understanding of CI/CD and deployment toolchains (we use CircleCI)
• Familiar with a broad portfolio of AWS infrastructure tools (EBS, S3, EC2, Elastic IP, Route 53, VPC) and experience with cloud infrastructure management. (3+ years)
• Demonstrated knowledge of container orchestration solutions (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure-as-code in a cloud environment (we use Terraform)
• Experience supporting complex 24/7 production environments
• Built or supported the shipping of multiple products, applications, or systems to production
• Ability to set up and create useful infrastructure monitoring & alerts (we use DataDog and CloudWatch)

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate, collaborative and forward-thinking Paid Media Specialist to join us as we grow and thrive in a dynamic and exciting industry. This role touches on all aspects of display/social marketing channels including Facebook ads, Google ads, Microsoft ads and more. About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Internal Communications to join the CARS Communications department. The Senior Content Specialist at DealerRater will work to ensure the integrity of DealerRater and Cars.com’s user driven content. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Content Integrity, the SCS will act as review policy expert, communicating with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. They will enforce community guidelines and investigate suspicious postings in order to uphold the integrity of the content across both DR and Cars.

Specific Functions
• Handle incoming reported review cases for both DealerRater and Cars.com as the first point of escalation for dealers
• Provide clarification on community guidelines to dealers, reviewers, customer service reps, and content readers
• Carry out the necessary steps to execute a change of ownership for a dealer page
• Investigate suspicious review content, analyzing patterns of fraudulent behavior and working to remove invalid content from the sites
• Continuously work with the Sr. Manager of Content Integrity and other teams to refine review reporting processes and report response templates
• Work closely with the content moderators to ensure that the DealerRater and Cars.com consumer reviews and the Cars.com vehicle reviews queues are managed in a timely manner
• Work with the moderators assigned to the AutoResponse product to ensure that the queue is managed quickly and to develop templates and processes to maximize efficiency as we scale that product (also work with Product team as necessary)
• Set agenda and host monthly team meeting with content moderators (addressing trainings, process changes, consistency audits, etc)
• Assist with projects/coverage across the content moderation and compliance teams as needed

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of providing customer service and communicating in both a B2B and B2C capacity

About the Role:

The SEO Copywriting Contractor is a freelance role that works with the SEO Copywriting team to create unique content for SEO clients based on strategy goals identified by SEO Specialists. Copywriting Contractors work under the supervision of the Copy Supervisor, and in coordination with the SEO Copywriters to fulfill client work month to month. Copywriting Contractors must be adept and proficient writers, who are able to quickly research and create search-optimized content that is useful to users and meets the length and time requirements of the department.

While SEO copywriting experience isn't required for this role as training is provided, critical thinking and time management are traits that lead to success.

Duties:
• Write a minimum of twenty 350-400 word high-quality, organic search-optimized web content pieces per month, adhering to strict quality guidelines, within time requirements

About the Role:

We are looking for a rockstar individual with an inquisitive attitude to lead a team of analysts under the direction of our Director of Analytics. The Manager, Analytics is responsible for determining scope and requirements for projects; outlining tasks, responsibilities and deadlines for projects; delegating to and mentoring of team members; representing the Analytics team in stakeholder and cross-functional team meetings across the organization, and responding to client needs and requests. The Manager, Analytics is a hands-on subject matter expert frequently called upon to extol knowledge and bring forth solutions.

Responsibilities:

● Supervise, coach and develop a team of Analysts, guiding them to produce the best outcomes for various digital marketing initiatives

● Work with cross-functional teams in agile and/or lean environments to create top-notch Analytics Measurement Solutions

● Implement and deploy various first-party and third-party tag solutions to collect impactful data

● Analyze large online and offline datasets, develop measurement methodologies, and write technical documentation for medium to large-scale commercial websites

● Serve as a liaison between business and engineering teams

● Identify and implement creative, strategic solutions to complex business problems

● Provide insights on performance through hypothesis testing and monitoring trends

● Create data resources (dashboards/queries/reports) to help guide product strategy, marketing efforts, establish narratives and measure business performance

● Serve as a strategic partner to our Digital Advertising, SEO, and Client Services teams

● Ensure data quality and accuracy of downstream reporting

● Conduct deep-dive analysis across multiple marketing channels to identify trends or opportunities for marketing adjustments.

Skills and Qualifications:

● 2+ years in a people management role

● 3+ years experience working with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, GA360, Adobe Analytics

● 3+ years proficiency in deploying various first party and third party tags through tag management systems such as Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager

● Proficiency of technical skills including but not limited to JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, HTML/CSS

● Expert-level knowledge in the process of how data is passed between a website and data layers, as well as, experience engaging with data objects and arrays within the data layer

● Expert-level understanding of digital media platforms (social, e-mail) and metrics of digital success within marketing analytics (e.g. campaign attribution/effectiveness, web tracking, customer lifecycle marketing)

● Experience and a strong understanding of measurement protocol and post-message API.

Nice to Haves:

● Experience with heat mapping tools such as Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity

● Experience with user tests or putting together insightful surveys

● Prior experience in an agency setting

● Experience working with database systems such as Redshift

● 3+ years experience in using data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, for creating dashboards, reports, and data exploration.
