Job Description Summary

The Psychologist position provides a full range of clinical services including individual, group, and couples counseling, evaluation and assessment, outreach, consultation, supervision, training, and crisis intervention services. Possession of strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a full client caseload are required, as well as a demonstrated commitment to working effectively from a multicultural orientation with a diverse college population, proficiency providing campus outreach presentations, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Psychologists also participate in the clinical supervision and training of doctoral psychology interns and master’s level graduate students. Opportunities for participating in innovative counseling outcome research and future adjunct teaching may be available

Qualifications
• PhD/PsyD degree in Counseling, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field. Minimum of three years of related experience.

This position oversees marketing materials for campus and office advertising, and on social media as well. Additionally, this position provides critical backup to the front and back desk worklists, and to office processes, functions, and clerical support.

Essential Functions

Program Development
• New Student Orientation (NSO) for new students for campus positions.
• Coordinate with New Student Orientation Administrator to coordinate information sent to students regarding student employment opportunities.
• Represent Student Employment at New Student Orientation 3 times per year (Fall, Winter, Spring).
• Create advertising and process flow for new and prospective student employees.
• Oversee videos to help support Student Employment.
• Work with Dept Office Coordinator on Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Committee.
• Manage committee to oversee, plan, execute, and advertise SEOTY throughout all of BYU.
• Student Appreciation Week – work with departments across campus to celebrate and honor student employees.
• Manage nominations based on university, regional, and national standards.
• Coordinate with regional and national SEOTY representatives for annual student winner and 2-3 runners up.
• Coordinate and manage awards and associated ceremony.
• Oversee Student Employment social media.
• Manage Instagram and Facebook accounts.
• Supervise Social Media committee and make plans for each semester.

Office Support and Collaboration:
• Answer phones and emails, and act as the Employment Office Coordinator backup, requiring extensive knowledge of the Student Employment policy and procedure.
• Process Back Desk worklist for hourly and contract eForms (hires, terminations, job changes).
• Onboarding of student employees, including getting students set up with critical systems (Box, Adobe, Teams, etc.) and removing them when they terminate as well.
• Process exception requests, LSO requests, Supplemental Comp requests, suspended/dismissed report, prepare them for Manager’s approval.
• Backup for the background check and ECO processing.
• Y-Time Manager backup for students.
• Approve campus-wide student job postings.
• Backup to Employment Office Coordinator to terminate and correct students on bad accounts.

Running Critical Department Reports
• Exceptions Report.
• Graduation Report.
• Incorrect SSN Query.
• ICH Report.
• Run active email list and department manager list.
• Backup for the Insufficient credit report each semester and notify students and hiring managers.

Department Clerical
• Maintain inventory of and purchase needed office supplies.
• Oversee the Student Employment Birthday Committee.
• Contact for copier maintenance, monitor toner cartridges, etc.
• Handle food for week of rush.

Education/Experience

Minimum education/experience required:
• Equivalency to 2 years’ full-time office management, human resources, or related experience.

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage critical details – required.
• Ability and willingness to consistently apply employment laws – required.
• Computer skills: proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel (statistical tools), Outlook, Publisher) and ability to learn new systems quickly – required.
• Ability to deal appropriately with difficult customers in a professional manner – required.
• Public relations skills and ability to provide quality customer service for high volume of phone calls and walk-in traffic – required.
• General office experience: detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, knowledge of general office equipment (i.e., copier, fax, scanner, shredder, etc.) – required.
• Experience/proficiency in PeopleSoft – preferred.
• Prior knowledge of BYU policies and procedures (including hiring) and understanding of BYU employment processes – preferred.
