The Customer Care Representative will be expected to process inbound customer inquiries via telephone call, mail, fax, or Internet in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to work 20 to 30 hours per week. The schedule will be 4p to 10p, 3 to 4 days per week. Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 3p to 9p, will also be required... Any hours worked 6 pm or later on Monday through Friday will pay $1 extra per hour. Responsibilities
• Conduct customer contacts thoroughly in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Comply with special instructions on customer orders or accounts.
• Analyze customer needs and inform customers of price totals, anticipated delays, and additional information as necessary.
• Attempt to sell additional merchandise to customer.
• Keypunch orders with speed and accuracy.
• Train newly hired staff members.
• Open and process mail orders.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Route calls to other departments, in order to promote exceptional customer service.
• Follow and support Dick Blick policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Guidebook.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Able to work in our Galesburg, IL office.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while using good judgment.
• Proficient with keyboarding and 10-key number pad.
• Ability to work effectively with team members to accomplish desired goals, especially under pressure during peak order and shipping times.

Education
• High school diploma or GED or currently pursuing either.

• Completes and utilizes the following programs Blick Onboarding Training, Blick Sales Training, Preferred Customer Program, Design Center Training, and Special Orders
• Displays an energetic and positive attitude with all customer interactions
• Assist in the coordination of merchandise set-ups, has knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and can implement and maintain the store as set forth by store management
• Follows directions and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision
• Understands and acts on the procedures required for reporting low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests to management as needed

• Availability to work flexible schedules including day/evening shifts and holidays as required by the needs of the business
