Summary

U Beauty’s Junior Graphic Designer is a full-time role for a nimble, inventive designer who is interested in making a key contribution to a growing brand. This role is largely remote and we’re looking for a self-starter who can proactively identify and execute brand-right design projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities will be focused on supporting the creation of photography, videos, layouts, web designs, packaging assets, print products, email newsletters, and more. The Graphic Designer should have a firm grasp on the current U Beauty brand identity—but be able to identify interesting ways to evolve it.

Application Requirements

Responsibilities:

● Create content—including images, videos, layouts, and more—that thoughtfully represents the brand and communicates key messages in an imaginative, compelling way. Bring a fresh creative perspective to U Beauty’s visual identity.

● Assist in the production and development of packaging assets, including componentry, cartons, press mailers, and in-store visuals. Work with U Beauty’s packaging design team to maintain brand packaging strategy, guidelines, timelines, and standards.

● Support the production, art direction, and execution of new content, while also being resourceful in leveraging existing assets in new and unexpected ways. Shoot BTS content, make selects, edit content and deliver assets for brand campaigns and launches.

● Work closely with our marketing, retail, and PR teams to understand project objectives and create new assets that meet those requirements—plus, iterate on those assets based on performance and engagement. Absorb and analyze briefs, data and insights into future creative development.

● Assist in sourcing, recruiting, and collaborating with content creators—including photographers, editors, and animators—and beauty experts to develop creative for use on U Beauty’s channels.

● Help ideate and execute social content on-the-fly, including ad hoc video and photo production as needed. Perform basic editing and motion graphic tasks on an as-needed basis.

● Scour the industry landscape to identify emergent trends to make strategic recommendations about ad hoc and franchise content opportunities.

Qualifications:

● Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. Motion graphic and animation experience is a plus!

● 1-3+ years of design experience, preferably in beauty or for an innovative DTC brand

● Deep and nuanced knowledge of social media platforms and interfaces
