Introduction:
Our new Boeing Jacksonville facility is seeking Aviation Maintenance Professionals that are motivated to support a greater cause in directly
impacting military warfighter readiness by providing critical maintenance repairs and modifications to the Navy’s P-8A Poseidon. We are

P-8A Poseidon:
The Boeing P-8 Poseidon is a commercial derivative military aircraft developed by Boeing Defense based on a modified design of the 737-
800ERX. The platform was initially developed for the US Navy, first flown in 2009 and introduced into service in 2013. The Aircraft is fitted
with equipment to tackle a diverse range of missions, including submarine hunting, performing reconnaissance missions and supporting
search & rescue operations. Our program will retrofit the highly capable Multi-mission platform for the next decade.
• Level 1 (Entry Level; can perform the above tasks and requires supervision)
• Level 2 (Associate Level; Can perform the above tasks with little or general supervision)
• Level 3 (Experienced Level; Can perform the above tasks with no supervision and can assist others)

Primary Responsibilities:
• Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing survival equipment, flight gear, and protective equipment and clothing
• Using, adjusting, maintaining, and repairing sewing machines
• Inspecting and testing of oxygen regulators, liquid oxygen converters, and safety equipment
• Equipping and packing life rafts
• Maintain all aircraft life support gear
• Manufacturing various types of fabric work and webbing assemblies used in survival equipment
• Perform other duties as directed by management for the benefit of the company, program or employee(s)
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Perform modification of commercial derivative aircraft
• Perform removal of existing equipment and components from the aircraft
• Perform installation of components and equipment onto the aircraft
• Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to leadership
• Perform rework of assembled components

General Responsibilities:

• Clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.
• Order parts, pan stock, tools, material and equipment as required to perform assigned duties
• Strive for an efficient work effort in all assigned tasks
• Strive for First Time Quality on all assigned work
• Follow the guidance and direction from lead, and senior Subject Matter Experts (SME)
• Execute all duties while wearing required safety equipment
• Complete required company and specific statement of work training requirements
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work
• Demonstrate a safe work ethic
• Perform detailed tool inventories daily
• Communicate using basic computer systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office as needed to complete essential job
requirements

• Report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures
• Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within assigned work areas, “Clean as You Go”

• Experience in either commercial or defense would be considered

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite Boeing Jacksonville or any of the BGS
sites when needed to support associated work.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim
and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 1+ years (Level 1), 2+ years (Level 2), 5+ years (Level 3) of aircrew life support maintenance experience, or relevant trade
apprenticeship or experience
• 1+ years (Level 1), 2+ years (Level 2), 5+ years (Level 3) of basic aircraft mechanic experience.

• Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health &
safety & COSHH)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience on the P-8 aircraft or P-8 gear
• FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is desirable

Typical Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED or 1+ years of experience.

• Navy PR school or equivalent certifications
