If you join a mega-cap technology company as the 10,000th hire you might struggle to figure out the impact you are making. If you join a startup, you might get to work on the latest fad, but likely have few mentors to learn from, work on toy problems and never change the world.

Your Responsibilities:
• You will manage Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure with a focus on security, high availability and cost using a Infrastructure-As-Code methodology using Terraform and Puppet
• You will monitor system health of deployed systems and ensure all failures are root caused using various tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana.
• Escalation point for high-priority, production-related issues
• Proactive and creative in identifying and addressing pain points through documentation, automation, scripting or redesigning existing infrastructure
• Maintain documentation and processes around key infrastructure and services
• Provide on-call support on a rotational basis, as required by the company

Requirements
• Understanding of Linux, Networking and Systems architecture
• A security-focused mindset and experience with incident response
• Experience with any cloud, virtualization, and/or container services (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, AWS ECS)
• Experience working with any configuration management and infrastructure orchestration tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such and Prometheus and Kibana is a plus
• Programming experience with any of Python, Go, PHP, Ruby, Node.js is a plus

Benefits
• Competitive salary
• A meritocratic culture with the ability to take ownership and fast track your career growth.
• You will be working on an Alexa top ranked website, solving complex, internet scale and global challenges in systems engineering with over 65 million customers across 247 countries, regions & territories.
• A laptop of your choice and any other hardware you need
• Weekly Town Halls with the all important Q&A session with the CEO (you really can ask him anything)!
• Regular social and team building events (think laser tag, escape rooms, karaoke, trivia nights, poker nights, and more)
