The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching undergraduate courses in civic thought to include a course the history of moral and political thought, a course in American political thought, and a course in the history of economic thought and debates on capitalism. Further, the successful candidate will develop combined graduate (M.A.) and undergraduate seminars in particular areas of moral and political thought, American political thought and leadership, and economic thought. These courses will be taught in-person and online, with the majority taught in-person.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: In addition to teaching, administrative responsibilities will focus on supporting the Director of Graduate Studies (a tenured professor) to manage and develop the School’s M.A. degree; to include working with a graduate studies committee, and collaborating with the academic advisor along with other School staff. The Graduate Director is charged with building enrollment in this new M.A. degree, both in Arizona and nationally (courses are offered both in person and as live online seminars), and both among school teachers and a broader set of potential graduate students seeking a liberal arts foundation for civic leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• PhD or DPhil in Political Science, History, or related disciplines with a focus on political thought and/or American political thought
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, including Socratic, discussion-based teaching
• Demonstrated evidence of organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse student, faculty, and staff populations and communities

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience creating curriculum (both discussion-based and lecture courses), formative and summative assessments, classroom activities, and using an online learning management system
• Demonstrated success in fostering discussion among diverse viewpoints and fostering student participation in expressing diverse views

Job Description
The Coordinator of Athletics Compliance is responsible for providing a high level of professional service by advising and educating Arizona State University, Sun Devil Athletics, and other athletics stakeholders on a broad range of compliance matters, along with participating in institutional efforts to detect and deter violations of NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and University rules and regulations.

The Coordinator participates in rules education and internal monitoring activities for a variety of areas to assist ASU and SDA in meeting goals and objectives with strict adherence to NCAA, Pac- 12 Conference, and University rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of SDA and the Arizona Board of Regents. The Athletics Compliance Office reports to the President, through the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Essential Duties
• Assists in the review and maintenance of components of the department's compliance software system, including practice, recruiting, and telephone logs.
• Assists with the administration of the complimentary ticket process and other assigned duties at athletics events.
• Participates in compliance office monitoring efforts. Assists in the preparation of NCAA reports.
• Assists in the administration of compliance office programs and processes.
• Researches and provides interpretations as assigned within the compliance department. Participates in the drafting and submission of eligibility and other waivers.
• Participates in the education of SDA and other athletics stakeholders regarding NCAA, Pac-12, and University rules and regulations.
• Participates in the evaluation, development, maintenance, and administration of policies and procedures designed to maintain institutional control within SDA.
• Supports the efforts of the Director of Athletics Compliance to manage athletics and financial aid responsibilities for the compliance office.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing professional networks.
DAYS AND SCHEDULE : Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, to include evenings, weekends and holidays based on project needs. Some travel will be required.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year of athletics compliance experience at the institutional, conference, or national association level OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Position requires strong computer and analytical skills, well-developed written and oral communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects. Must have successful experience working in a collaborative and team oriented environment.

Desired Qualificiations
• Evidence of Master's degree or J.D. from an ABA accredited law school with one (1) year full-time, post-baccalaureate NCAA Division I compliance experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I legislation in the areas of eligibility. Demonstrate knowledge of campus academic and financial aid policies, administrative procedures, and relevant state and federal regulations.

Your primary responsibility in this results-driven position will be to plan, coordinate, and oversee recruitment, enrollment, yield, and retention goals as well as strategic initiatives in collaboration with ASU-wide enrollment teams and leadership of the four schools in the college (Schools of Sustainability, Ocean Futures, Complex Adaptive Systems, and Future of Innovation in Society).

You should have experience managing enrollment-related initiatives in education, marketing, membership organizations, or in a customer acquisition role, and reporting to executive teams on the results and impact(s) of these initiatives. Content knowledge and demonstrable passion for sustainability, innovation, systems science, global development, environmental conservation, social justice, and/or social impact of technology in society is desired.

Experience in higher education and working with faculty is desired. You should have excellent collaboration skills to develop strategy for, manage, and assess projects with diverse teams.

As the ideal candidate, you will be an organized, dynamic, strategic and motivated doer, successfully managing multiple projects at once with quality and with speed, and with the vision of advancement and impact.

Essential Duties

Develop and implement undergraduate and graduate student recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies in collaboration with leadership in the College of Global Futures and its schools to drive aggressive growth in emerging fields. Interface enrollment strategies with related teams within ASU Academic Enterprise Enrollment, the Graduate College, and EdPlus/ASU Online. Develop a deep understanding of customer / prospective student desires and needs within the context of the College of Global Futures mission, and work with college and school leadership to develop products (curricula, degree programs, skills, experiences) that will improve student enrollment, satisfaction, impact, and success. Collaborate with college and school staff on curriculum development, student engagement, careers/alumni engagement, and executive education to improve recruitment, enrollment, and impact outcomes. Coordinate with college, Global Futures Laboratory and Knowledge Enterprise strategic marketing and communications team to ensure coordinated messaging across all outreach and recruitment materials. Co-develop strategic priorities with and oversee the College of Global Futures recruitment and outreach team to reach ambitious enrollment goals. Work with ASU teams to conduct market research and analyze data to maximize student enrollment, access, and impact goals. Work closely with faculty and the teams in Knowledge Enterprise and ASU marketing and communications to co-develop materials and content towards the College of Global Futures enrollment, access, and impact goals. Resolve problems and issues affecting the college enrollment goals and recommend measures to improve effectiveness and efficiency for evidence-based decision making. Develop and present weekly project status and analytics reports to College Deans and Directors.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND seven (7) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Eleven (11) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in the fields of sustainability, global development, earth or environmental studies, conservation science; technology, innovation, or entrepreneurship; and/or community advocacy or activism. Experience in student recruitment and enrollment management, membership management, customer acquisition, marketing, or project management; especially with customers / prospective students in campus-based immersion and online contexts that range across traditional and unconventional/transdisciplinary backgrounds. Experience working with university faculty and growing a portfolio for a college or other mission-driven organization. Skill and work ethic in support of exemplary collaboration and follow-through, including actively listening, taking ownership and resolving challenges as appropriate. Ability to report on and present to executive teams about the impact of enrollment, access, and impact initiatives as it relates to college goals. Experience developing a strategic plan for enrollment / membership / customer growth that includes key performance indicators. Essential Duties

• Prepare a variety of documents in a range of computer programs. Format and proofread materials and correct grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. Handle administrative forms for office/department and forward appropriately for processing; initiate work orders with approval.
• Receive and screen phone calls and visitors; assist by answering questions and providing information.
• Organize and maintain files and contractual calendar.
• Provide front office support to manager and staff.
• Process payments, deposits and donations within 48 hours of receipt.
• Prepare travel itineraries, ASU travel forms and travel reconciliations.
• Order, track and stock office and break room supplies.
• Coordinate storage and pick-up of surplus equipment and supplies from venue staff.
• Operate various office equipment including, computers, photocopier, and printers. Ensure equipment is in working order and maintain appropriate supplies.
• Assist renters/patrons with their needs and questions.
• Conduct tours as needed.
• Maintain records and schedule for department vehicles regarding maintenance, emissions, parking decals, cleaning and fuel.
• Assist with training of new student employees as needed.

The Coordinator will be assigned to a portfolio of international, domestic and online programs and will be responsible for the management of their full life cycle from the proposal stage through to the collection of program evaluations. This position works primarily with faculty, university administration and service providers and will report to the Faculty Directed Program Manager. Student contact is indirect and limited.

Essential Duties
• Works closely and collaboratively with faculty member(s), to facilitate, develop and finalize individualized custom program proposals including, but not limited to: budgets, logistics, housing, transportation, health & safety requirements, excursions and curriculum.
• Facilitates and prepares, with faculty member(s), the development and maintenance of a program budget and associated course fee(s), prepares disbursements, proposals, recommendations and approvals where appropriate and ensures adherence to and control of budget items.
• Requests bids from providers, facilitates contract negotiations with identified vendor(s); prepares all applicable contracts for each program to ensure achievement of stated outcomes and requirements.
• Acts as primary contact between third party vendors and faculty; reviews providers' bid responses to provide guidance/recommendations to faculty identifying differences that may enhance the program from both a content and expense perspective.
• Plans, prepares, launches and administers associated web brochure(s) to promote program including descriptive information, cost, program length/timing and application process. Reviews submitted applications for eligibility criteria, accepts/denies students, and aids in the achievement of required minimum participants.
• Prepares Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Scope of Work for vendors; in conjunction with Risk Management, OGC and Associate Director International Health, Safety and Security evaluates new providers for compliance with ASU standards/requirements.
• Working in conjunction with faculty, facilitates promotion of programs, holds informational sessions, creates flyers for programs; assists in the planning of Global Education Office events throughout the year to increase awareness and promote program opportunities to students, faculty, and colleges.
• Working with faculty, coordinates, organizes and delivers pre-departure orientations for students, both in person and virtually; monitors virtual pre-departure orientation required for all students.
• Advises students on program specifics, funding options, and application process; performs follow up as needed to ensure students have the opportunity to complete process; withdraws students as requested.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2 years prior experience in one of the following: education abroad (provider or university setting), travel industry, event or project management. Demonstrated customer service skills. Commitment to working with diverse populations OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

• Experience working with college/university faculty members or VIP customers/clients
• Experience in budget development and management
• Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM)
• Experience with Terra Dotta
• Experience studying/working/living abroad
• Experience communicating across cultures

Working Environment
• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse
• Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
• Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities that may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Some weekend and evening activities required. Flexible and hybrid schedules are available after training period.

Working Environment

Normally receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions on new assignments with review of completed tasks. Flexible Work Options: Once established in your role, alternative work options may include four, 10-hour workdays in a workweek; a nine-day, 80-hour schedule over two work weeks (exempt employees only); and staggered start and stop times.
