Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Associate Consultant role will assist, lead, and implement strategic projects within Ascension Health. As a dynamic member of Strategic Integration, the Associate Consultant will be tasked with supporting project management work, as well as becoming a strategic thought partner and subject matter expert within each project.

Responsibilities:
• Lead implementations of new healthcare strategy and processes within Ascension Health, by identifying critical next steps, tracking project tasks and goals, and following up with stakeholders
• Create, review, and present executive-level deliverables including weekly updates, status reports, and presentations
• Gather, interpret, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources in various areas of healthcare
• Exemplify a high level of customer service and hospitality to our internal associates and external participants, by providing consistent change management for end users

• Leads a team of Master Data Management Specialists responsible for developing tools to support supply chain resiliency efforts
• Acts as an account manager with a Senior Director of Operations to ensure Master Data Management is providing exceptional service and support to The Resource Group’s Operations teams
• Collaborates with other Resource Group associates to identify opportunities for scope expansion
• Develops and monitors goals and strategies for teams in conjunction with Directors and peer Managers

Responsibilities

The Medical Director for Clinical Transformation is responsible for the development and implementation of clinical programs and protocols for key clinical transformation initiatives. This includes digital and mobile applications, Remote Patient Monitoring , Virtual care, EHR optimization, and digital transformation efforts.

Plan and direct medical policies and programs. Define and achieve financial targets in support of business goals; evaluate organizational functions and structure to best determine the allocation and utilization of services.

Remote Patient Monitoring
• Designs and implements clinical protocols and playbooks for remote patient monitoring programs in collaboration with leaders across Ascension including clinical operations, service lines, marketing and communications, Studio engagement services, and Ascension Technologies
• Conducts regular clinical operating reviews with remote patient monitoring staffing team focusing on enhancing program quality and identifying opportunities for enhancement and efficiency
• Partners with market clinical and business leaders on program development and implementation timelines and priorities
• Provides oversight for managing market-driven remote patient monitoring vendors and programs. Identifies opportunities for synergies, integration or expansion
• Engages regularly with data and data sciences teams to evaluation programs and demonstrate impact across Ascension
• Conducts clinical operating reviews for patient reported outcomes program

Digital Transformation and Virtual Care
• Provides clinical input for various aspects of digital and mobile applications including medical records, lab and testing results, vitals, immunizations, allergies, patient portal communications
• Manages clinical reviews and operating standards for digital search channels and communicates changes with market clinical leaders
• Manages the day-to-day operations of communications alignment across markets and by platform and EHRs

EHR Optimization

• Manages the expansion and evaluation of digital tools in EHRs for key markets. Includes regular internal operating meetings and external stakeholder communications. Leads assessment of the impact of implementation on excess days
• Manages clinical operations of EHR Apps as it expands to new use cases and additional EHRs.
• Facilitate strategic clinical relationships with physicians.
• Work with leadership to develop a strategic plan for growth of clinical practice.
• Ensure that clinical programs are in compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements.
• Implement utilization review and quality improvement systems.
• Implement educational programs and offerings.
• May provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Prepare annual operating budget for assigned service areas.
• Consult with planning and operations leadership in new program development.
• Supervise any assigned medical/resident programs.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• One or more of the following required:
• Physician MD/DO obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.
• Podiatrist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
Additional Preferences
• A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited and approved school of medicine; Board-certified physician with a current state license
• Experience and/or training in health care administration; advanced degree/certification in business, medical management, or similar field is preferred
• A minimum of seven years of clinical practice with demonstrated achievement; a minimum of five years in complex leadership roles within health systems
• Experience in designing and implementing clinical programs across a range of medical specialities, managing clinical operations, and improving clinical quality and safety
• Experience in organizational change management with a strong record of successful development and implementation of large-scale efforts to transform strategy, processes, and culture
• Excellent communication skills that spans effectively across all levels of the organization including the clinical and business leaders, clinicians, nurses, staff, and associates
• Technical expertise with a deep understanding of the technologies necessary to transform the organization. This includes electronic health records, access to care technologies such as scheduling platforms, virtual care solutions, remote patient monitor platforms, mobile application development, and revenue cycle management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in budgetary and operational management.
• Demonstrated comfort and success working in a highly matrixed, complex organization coupled with the ability to lead and accomplish goals through influence and collaboration.
• Previous experience in the implementation and/or management of electronic health records systems, remote patient monitoring technologies, and virtual care capabilities.
• Experience in conflict resolution, problem solving, negotiation, and team building
