• Perform degree verifications for former students.

• Support the administration of the scholarships and loans offered by the College of Nursing.

• Pull data from UA Analytics to aid with multiple reports required by the College.

• Maintain the College's anticipated additional expense data.

• Complete data entry to support the college's clinical compliance team.

• Research and recommend improvements to processes and systems.

• Perform other duties appropriate to the position as assigned.

THINK TANK is a student academic support department that serves as a focal point for the University’s centralized learning assistance and learning enrichment services. THINK TANK offers both free and fee-based tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic skills tutoring, and other academic support delivered through peer educators, graduate assistants, and professional staff. Services are provided to UA students in both centralized and satellite locations. The mission of THINK TANK is to empower UA students by providing a positive environment where they can master the skills needed to become successful lifelong learners. The Associate Director will have administrative and program oversight of Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction provided by THINK TANK. The Associate Director will be responsible for managing the teams that provide Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring programming to university students enrolled in key courses. Under the direction of the Director, this position leads, coordinates, and supervises various specialized programs and activities, assuring fulfillment of departmental goals and objectives. The position coordinates goals, objectives, and activities of Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction staff in accord with priorities established by the department. The Associate Director acts in a departmental leadership role, assisting with the strategic planning, budget forecasts, and articulation of mission and vision of the department. Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and supervision to the Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction staff at THINK TANK; establish work priorities and strategy.
• Set program policy and procedures, in conjunction with the Director and departmental staff.
• Analyze current University data to identify high-risk courses and make recommendations for academic support.
• Provide leadership in developing, maintaining, and improving an exemplary Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction programs.
• Maintain collaborative working relationships with participating faculty and campus partners by providing tutoring and supplemental instruction solutions that meet their needs.
• Collaborate with other campus tutoring personnel, including the SALT Center and C.A.T.S. Academics.
• Provide problem solving assistance; interpret departmental policy and procedures pertaining to Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring.
• Prepare monthly, semester, and annual utilization reports.
• Collect, monitor, and analyze operational data such as usage, budgets, program costs, and trends.
• Collect, monitor, and analyze programmatic data such as evaluation of outcomes, student needs, and staff feedback.
• Implement and maintain high quality training for services through CRLA certification and SI accreditation.
• Serve as a member of the Leadership Team and participate in strategic planning, budget forecasts, professional development, and articulation of mission and vision of the department.
• Develop and facilitate informational workshops, seminars, or conferences; prepare presentations for other professionals as requested.
• Assist the Director in fiscal planning, including fee-based services, and in writing grants and proposals. Monitor expenditures related to Supplemental Instruction services and Tutoring.
• Participate in research goals of department through program development, implementation, evaluation, and modification.
• Regularly communicate the progress, outcomes, and direction of work to the Director.

The Position:

The University of Arizona (UArizona) School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE) seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, growth-minded, and entrepreneurial Director to lead one of UArizona’s largest and most complex schools. The new director will build upon a tradition of excellence to grow SNRE’s reach, profile, and programming, working closely with nine college academic unit heads, academic unit heads in other colleges, seven associate/assistant deans, the Cooperative Extension Director, Director of International Initiatives, Associate Vice President for Advancement, Advocacy, Alumni Affairs and Corporate Relations, and the Dean of the Rogers College of Law.

Reporting directly to the Vice President & Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Director will manage a budget of approximately $10M in payroll and operating expenses and oversee the School's 250 employees, including 36 faculty (including four Extensions specialists). The director is supported by two associate directors who manage graduate and undergraduate affairs, four faculty program chairs who manage faculty annual performance reviews, a business office with eight staff members including financial and IT professionals, and a four-person advising team.

The Director is responsible for:
• Building and leading all aspects of the School.
• Driving additional excellence in enrollment, programming, advancement, and partnerships.
• Increasing and maintaining connections with private, state, and federal agencies.
• Working with commercial and governmental partners in funded projects.
• Partnering with donors and community organizations to secure philanthropic funding.
• Leading financial and budget administration for the School.
• Recruiting diverse students and faculty. Advocating for an inclusive environment.
• The School Director, who will have both College and Extension appointments, will be a proven entrepreneurial and innovative leader with demonstrated excellence and outstanding achievements warranting a tenured appointment as Full Professor.

Required Qualifications:
• A terminal degree and experience commensurate with a full professor.
• A track record of successful leadership, management, and accountability for an academic or research organization.
• History of successfully working with a broad diversity of stakeholder groups, such as federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.
• Experience with advocacy efforts and with effectively interacting with alumni, corporations, and advisory board members or a skillset suitable for these activities
