Alpine was established in 1988 and engages solely in contracted cultural resource studies throughout the western United States. What You Will Contribute

As a member of our three-person GIS team, you will utilize your experience in the following areas:

· Work in the ESRI suite of products (ArcGIS Pro 3.0, ArcGIS Map 10.8, Arc Catalog, Field Maps, Collector, and ArcGIS Online) to prepare standard GIS products, including maps, shapefiles, graphics, tables, and reports.

· Use basic GIS software functions to enter, edit, and update GIS spatial data, including points, lines, and polygons and attribute data into databases or layers following standard procedures.

· Ensure the accuracy, currency, completeness, and usefulness of data.

· Cross-train with other GIS personnel to facilitate the completion of projects and necessary tasks and improve the GIS department’s overall efficiency.

· Collaborate on multiple projects concurrently, while meeting deadlines, providing high-quality deliverables, and delivering products on time and within budget.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, geography, GIS, or a related field.

· Demonstrated excellence with ESRI apps, with at least two years of experience using ArcGIS Pro.

· Highly motivated individual, that is willing to work independently within a team environment.

· An ability to prioritize tasks for multiple projects while working in a dynamic environment.

· Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

· Preferred experience with cultural resources or other environmental-related projects.

· Knowledge of writing, editing, installing, and verifying Python scripts for accessing, maintaining, linking, and populating databases.

Salary and Benefit Package

Salary: $50,000 to $65,000 per year, dependent on qualifications

Staff benefits include: 11 paid holidays, health, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid sick and vacation leave, professional development stipend, and eligibility for a profit-sharing retirement (401k) plan at the completion of one year employment that includes up to a 4% employer match.
