ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with Senior Director, Special Projects to ideate unique and innovative event programming, enhancements, virtual extensions, and design/environmental needs to deliver premium experiences for brand partners and consumers
• Assist in the creation and management of internal and external timelines for project deliverables, feedback, and approvals for both overall executions and individual branded activations. The majority of these executions will be post-sale, with occasional pre-sale needs in partnership with marketers
• Oversee fabrication of designer trend spaces for Small/Cool NYC, including communication with talent, brand and agency communications, management of all product orders, coordination of shipping needs, and other tasks that arise
• Gather all deliverables and package for clients, talent, and internal stakeholders on or ahead of due dates, customizing as necessary (elements may include: informational guides, asset packages, event resources, and more)
• Traffic materials between all stakeholders, including assets for client approvals, promotional elements, post-event assets, and more
• Keep all collaborating teams on track for timely deliveries and problem solve where necessary to ensure projects move smoothly
• Participate in internal and external campaign kickoff calls and create corresponding materials (e.g., scopes of work, call agendas, meeting notes, etc.)
• Assist with asset development as it relates to campaigns (including writing promotional copy and proofreading)
• Manage executional hard costs for respective areas of business and work with Senior Director, Special Projects to reconcile campaign P&Ls
• Assist in the creation of program wrap reports that recap programs for advertisers and communicates the success of executions
• Maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors for outsourced campaign elements
• Support Sales Directors and Account Managers on client calls as it relates to relevant projects (on an as needed basis)

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience managing projects, preferably at a publisher or event production agency
• Impeccably organized, highly attentive to detail, and skilled at managing multiple projects at once
• Ability to foresee problems/issues that may arise on-site and creatively problem-solve in advance
• A self-starter, quick to learn and eager to take on responsibilities
• Excellent communication and writing skills

The Shopping Writer will help the Sr. Commerce Editor plan out the franchise edit calendar, consult the SEO Editor on SEO keywords and trends, coordinate product selection with the Best List editor, and collaborate with the video team on Personal Shopper videos. The ideal candidate must have strong writing and organizational skills; familiarity with SEO best practices; an eye for style and knowledge of brands in the home space; an ability to multitask; and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person should also have an interest in creating engaging, revenue-generating commerce content, a positive attitude and upbeat spirit, and be a team player.

This is a hybrid role and will be based out of our New York City office.

Responsibilities:
• Write a minimum of four shoppable posts per week, including the Personal Shopper and AT MVPs franchises as well as product reviews
• Assist Sr. Commerce Editor with planning the franchise edit calendar, including new posts and updates, and help ideate new franchise opportunities
• Coordinate product curation and selection with Best List editor and pitches from Commerce edit staff
• Visit retailer showrooms and stores to test products for Personal Shopper franchise
• Consult SEO Editor on keywords and trends for inclusion in posts
• Communicate and coordinate with retailers about new seasonal inventory
• Work with video team to create and appear in Personal Shopper videos
• Liaise with Sr. Projects Director and Art Team on potential seal-licensing opportunities
• Use keyword research and revenue data insights to identify opportunities for commerce posts
• Monitor performance of commerce content using Tracknomics, Google Analytics and Parse.ly
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly planning and insights meetings with members of the Commerce Team, Edit Teams, and Growth Team

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of commerce writing experience
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Familiar with SEO best practices and experience using Google Analytics and other industry-leading SEO tools
• Interest in e-commerce, retail, and creating compelling shopping content
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of food and home brands
• Ability to work within technical systems/content management systems (CMS)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Highly adaptable and quick to learn new processes
• Willingness to go above and beyond to achieve revenue goals

Salary Range: $65,000 - 68,000

• Collaborate with video staff in building a social and SEO video strategy
• Work with the audience growth team to extend the Kitchn reach across all relevant platforms
• Maintain an eye for brand growth opportunities
• Collaborate with the revenue team in developing sponsored editorial opportunities
• Represent the brand in media appearances, videos, and large-scale company events

Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of media experience in digital media, with a focus on editing and directing content. Culinary experience is a must, and experience with a hands-on studio model is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a small- to medium-sized team
• Proven ability to lead a department and develop a brand voice
• Extensive experience with culinary content and recipe development
• Experience in planning and strategizing multi-platform content strategies that are effective and have found a broad audience
• Ability to own and execute strategy, while balancing shifting priorities

Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000
