Each VISTA member will have particular community organizations they will be working with as well as a group of Alma College students. These groups will include the ACE Scholars Program, First-Year Students, and the group of students planning Alternative Breaks. The VISTA members will also connect with Alma College professors to integrate these service opportunities into service-learning experiences.
Member Duties : As a VISTA member of the Alma College AmeriCorps Program, you will work with the postsecondary education access programs. Your work with these programs will involve implementing volunteer recruiting systems with the Alma College students, implementing volunteer tracking systems and measures to evaluate the success of the volunteer interactions, working with different groups of Alma College students, and working with Alma College faculty to help arrange service learning opportunities with the post-secondary education access programs and engage in training opportunities related to volunteerism in these community programs.
