Seeking qualified part-time candidates to teach curriculum-level mathematics courses, which may include Quantitative Literacy, Statistics, Precalculus Algebra, or Precalculus Trigonometry. Duties will include lecturing (in person or remotely), holding office hours, preparing syllabi and lessons, and creating and grading assignments and tests. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Classes may be seated, online, or hybrid. Work hours may include day or evening classes. This position will begin in August 2021.
Typical Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics, or a Master's degree plus 18 graduate hours in Mathematics, from a regionally-accredited institution. Preference will be given to applicants with community college or university teaching experience in mathematics. Preference will also be given to applicants who have experience with online teaching, learning management systems (such as Moodle or Blackboard), and homework management systems (such as MyMathLab or WebAssign).
