As the Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance at 1stDibs, you will be a part of a team leads the Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Partnering, Financing, and Investor Relations functions, and works closely with the Executive team during strategic planning. In this role, you will help conduct financial and operational analyses and provide recommendations to company management, all while working cross-functionally to support teams such as Supply, Product, Operations, and Marketing. You will need to possess strong quantitative skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly. What You Will Do
Budgeting & Forecasting / Reporting
• Work with Senior Analysts to build budgets and forecasts for teams across the company
• Support monthly check-ins with these teams so they can understand department-specific and overall business performance
• Collaborate with Finance team colleagues to produce monthly and quarterly financial performance review presentations for the Executive team
• Update company models with actual metrics and help forecast future performance
• Prepare materials for the Board of Directors and investors
Business Partnering and Decision Support
• Support finance team management by providing an understanding of financial metrics, both topline and expense -related, and their underlying business drivers
• Update key performance indicator models that help us ensure we are scaling responsibly: both fueling high growth and making sound financial decisions
• Act as a business partner to various company stakeholders to understand their needs and answer their financial questions
• Support our bi-annual strategic planning process by helping assess the potential impact of new business opportunities
Who You Are
• You have 2+ years of experience working in a Finance or FP&A role, with business operations-related work a plus
• You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or other business major
• You have strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability and resilience to go deep into the details
• You have the ability to state ideas clearly and concisely, and to be able to admit a mistake
• You are comfortable with ambiguity, and multiple and changing priorities
• You have familiarity with and passion for e-commerce, marketplaces, furniture, and design a plus

• You have experience with Looker, Netsuite, and/or SQL
For NYC residents the base salary range is $90,000 - $98,500. Our overall compensation package is made of several parts, base compensation being one of them. What you’ll do
• Support the accounting and SEC reporting processes, including month-end close, account reconciliations, internal/ external reporting and analysis and overall maintenance of the company’s accounting records.
• Support the cash flow for multiple bank accounts and ensure accounts are reconciled on a daily and monthly basis.
• Prepare month-end close journal entries, account reconciliations supporting journals, and supplementary schedules
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls for SOX compliance.
• Assist to develop improved processes and policies and to drive financial discipline across the company.
• Perform certain operational functions, such as weekly dealer payments, reconciliations of eCommerce revenue to cash receipts, and reconciliations between credit card processor and accounting records to ensure complete and accurate recording of transactions.
• Effective and timely research accounting or documentation discrepancies.
• Work directly with FP&A and SEC Reporting teams, as well as with other departments to promote a more efficient and focused financial reporting package.
• Assist with compliance, including audits and other filings.
• Assist with ad-hoc requests and projects.
Who you are
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and active CPA
• You have Minimum 4 years of accounting experience (mix of public accounting and industry experience preferred)
• You have strong knowledge of US GAAP
• You have advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
• You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• You are self-motivated, personable, and a team player
