It's Los An'j'eles, you've been pronouncing it correctly - been living with my husband from the UK in my hometown of L.A. for almost 3 years now. He still calls it "Los An-jee-lees." All his family in the UK say "So how are you doing out there in Los An-jee-lees." Drives me nuts. It's Los An'j'eles.
