Basic Purpose

To provide full project lifecycle management of various complex IT projects or programs from inception to completion. To serve as the technical subject matter expert for an assigned area providing complex operational support to the organization. Ensure projects and department objectives are met in operational stability, efficiency, asset management, change control, performance management, metric development, security, integrity of systems, and delivered on schedule. Provide operational support input related to managed projects and provide project leadership to ensure overall success and delivery of expected outcomes are in support of Navy Federal's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive day-to-day support related to assigned issues, projects, and remediation planning
• Oversee project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are compliant with previously agreed requirements and standards
• Recommend, develop, and maintain complete and accurate documentation for supported environments
• Experience in project leadership and execution, including initiatives with technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and external partners
• Experience in leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in agile environments
• Experience with Risk and Audit Management processes including Internal Audit, Security Vulnerabilities, and NIST Control Mapping
• Lead and coordinate availability and performance monitoring activities and execution of scheduled maintenance activities
• Prepare and deliver status reports regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to management, executive leadership, and stakeholders
• Provide technical support or coordinate with needed technical teams to complete troubleshooting/testing/remediation efforts
• Perform analysis of applications and enhancements for process improvement or re-engineering
• Coordinate, document and evaluate unit testing for software defects
• Ensure compliance with NFCU's ISD standards, practices and processes
• Ensure projects completed meet compliance standards with ISD Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, and 3rd Party assessments.
• Initiate and prioritize multiple activities for assigned support area for completion of functions
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring technical/operational problems
• Coordinate integration of solutions with existing applications; identify and resolve existing and potential conflicts to ensure compatibility
• Provide regular feedback to project members, peers, and leadership in a timely manner
• Perform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems
• Build and maintain effective relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)
• Ensure clear, concise and effective communication of material
• Lead, guide and mentor less experienced staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Advanced knowledge of development and/or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), etc.
• Significant experience in Information Technology operations performance, reliability, and availability metrics
• Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices
• Advanced skill troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
• Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
• Advanced skill in producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives
