The opportunity: We are looking for a UX / Senior UX Designer who will work in close collaboration with the HBR Product Management and Technology teams providing design support for the HBR Web Editorial, Consumer Marketing and Ecommerce groups. In this role, the Senior UX Designer will initiate and lead research and design projects advocating for a human-centered approach to design in service of creating great digital experiences. What you’ll do: Initiate and lead projects that advance and/or improve user experience of HBR products. Conduct research that expands understanding of users’ needs and expectations. Develop user flows, wireframes, and interaction features. Create interactive prototypes for a variety of devices and platforms. Present concepts, ideas and suggested solutions to stakeholders and senior management, advocating for user experience and implementing their feedback. Identify elements of design that require testing, define testing methodology, lead user testing and iteration, and synthesize tests’ findings into design priorities. Design research on UX best practices and trends in media. What we’re looking for: 5+ years of role-specific experience. Understanding of UX principles, particularly in support of content, personalization, and paywall solutions. Understanding of design trends in a media environment. In-depth knowledge of UX tools: Figma and/or Sketch and Axure. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and agile processes. Excellent written and verbal cross-functional communication skills Excitement and confidence to advocate for UX principles throughout the organization.
